The smell of alcohol in the apartment was overwhelming, and teamed with the unbearably loud music blasting over the speakers in the lounge was making me want to rip my face off. It didn't help that the place was full to the brim of loud abnoctious people in their twenties who all thought that they were still in high school.

Agreeing to let my younger sister live with me was beginning to feel like a very bad decision.

"Excuse me would you mind not doing that?" I asked for the fourth time of the night as another drunk football player grinded his junk into my butt. "I'm trying to find Tanya, have you seen her?"

The guy grunted and pointed his beer bottle towards the kitchen. I smiled in thanks even though it probably looked more like a grimmace and began shoving my way through the mass of people to the kitchen.

The kitchen was relatively empty once you got though the doorway and almost immediately my drunk little sister attached herself to my arm. "Sammie!" She squealed into my ear as she jumped up and down excitedly sloshing whatever was in her cup over the sides and onto the floor. I smiled weakly unwinding her from my arm and attaching her to the only other person in the room I recognised.

"Don't let her drink anymore." I instructed Joe, "She's not just your girlfriend she is my sister and I hold you personally responsible for anything that happens untill she sobers up. I'm going out, I can't stand it in here anymore." Joe nodded and guided Tanya to a chair as I barged my way back through the sea of people to the front door.

The people free space was a relief as I made my way down the stairs and out onto the streets of New York. The chill air hit me as soon as I stepped out onto the pavement and I pulled my jacket tighter around me. I kept my head down out of the wind and hurried round the corner to the little coffee shop that was beckoning me out of the cold.

A little tinkle of a bell sounded as I pushed open the door and the sudden warmth made my glasses steam slightly. The place was empty except from the very bored looking barrista who gave a small smile as I walked in.

"What will it be?" She asked warmly as I rubbed my hands together in an attempt to warm them up.

"Umm, a medium caramel hot chocolate please." I asked as I breathed in the strong smell of coffee. I loved the smell, yet always thought the taste was too strong.

I payed for my drink, sat down and had just set my open book down on the table when the door opened and a gust of wind fluttered the pages losing my place. I cursed and looked up to see who I was about to glare at. Stood by the counter was a man about half a foot taller than me, well built and gorgeous dark blonde hair. He was leant against the counter as if it was the most natural position in the world talking to the barrista.

As he turned around I snapped my head back down to my book and began flicking through the pages trying to find my place.

"I'm sorry about that," I heard a voice say, "I didn't realise all the wind wanted a coffee too."

I chuckled and looked up to see the sake man that was stood at the counter. Closer up I could see his hair looked blonde with darker patches mixed in and he looked down at me with these beautiful bright blue eyes which I couldn't help but smile at.

"It's okay, I should probably find something else to read anyway, I've read this way to many times." I replied, my eyes flicking between the book and him.

He laughed and pulled out the seat next to me. "Mind if I sit?" He asked and my head automatically shook, inviting him to join me. "So what are you reading then?" He looked genuinely interested when he asked so I closed to book to show him the cover.

"Wicked." I replied, "Like the musical."

"Is it good? I've never read the book, seen the musical though, is it much different?" He cocked his head slightly when asking the questions which I found adorable.

"Its quite a bit different I think, some people say it isn't but there are some definate changes for the musical."

"I'll have to read it sometime" He said with a grin. "I'm Aaron by the way." He held out his hand.

"Samantha," I replied. "People call me Sam though."

"Nice to meet you Sam," He said shaking my hand. "What brings you out on your own at this time?"

I laughed, "More like what forces me out." Aaron crinkled his brows and I chuckled again at his confusion, "My sister is staying with me and she's decided that tonight would be a good party throwing night."

"Ahh," Said Aaron. "And you do not like partys?"

"Not ones where everyone gets too drunk to remember anything and ends up puking everywhere."

"I know those sorts." He lent back on his chair with his arms swinging down by his sides. "I agree with you on those."

I smiled, "So what brings you here?"

"I'm just grabbing a coffee after work, I normally just come in for a "to-go" but you seemed lonely." He explained flashing me a white toothed grin.

"What do you do? If you work this late?" I asked curiously. "If you don't mind me asking."

"I'm an actor." He said, splaying his arms out and waving them dramatically.

"Really? Stage or screen?"

"Both actually, I'm practicing for a new musical at the moment though, only got the script last week."

"Awesome," I replied. "My mum was an actress in the west end."

"Really?" He asked, "What did she do?"

"She was in the original cast of the west end production of Wicked actually." I said tapping my book.

"I did Wicked," He said with a grin on his face. "I was fiyero."

"I can see you as fiyero," I smiled. "You're not going to start singing Dancing Through Life are you?"

He laughed and smiled again, "Only if you want me to."

We talked for what seemed like hours about everything and anything until the barrista came over and said she was closing up and we have to leave. Aaron offered to walk me home and I accepted graciously. When we got to the front of my building he stopped and turned to face me.

"It was great talking to you tonight Sam." Aaron said with a grin, "It would be great to catch up with you again."

"Definately," I replied half smiling at him, and half at the ground. "Here I'll give you my number and you can call me some time."

Aaron's smile widened as I grabbed his hand and pulled it closer to me so I could quickly scribble down my number onto his palm. "I'll call you then." He said, and kissed me gently on the cheek. I blushed bright red and nodded shyly. Chuckling he turned and started to walk away as I fumbled with my keys trying to find the right one in my daze.

As the key slipped into the lock I squealled loudly. I've had coffee with Aaron Freaking Tveit!
