Marinette walked inside class, again, late. She had overslept, but the good news was that now she wasn't feeling tired.

"Adrien," she heard Chloe whisper. Adrien turned around to look at her. "Why don't you share with Marinette the good news about us?" She winked.

"What?" Marinette got out of her seat. "What?!" She repeated.

"Marinette, Adrien is dumping you and coming to me," Chloe smirked. "He realized what a boring girl you were. He made a good decision anyway."

"But Adrien..." Marinette didn't believe it. Adrien wouldn't suddenly stop being with her, and go over to Chloe, who they had confirmed was the one to let Hawk Moth and Matthew out.

"Shush," Adrien told her. "Just accept the fact that I never liked you."

Marinette sat back down, the class talking about what had just happened.

"Did you two have a fight?" Alya whispered to her, the teacher walking in, and telling the class why she was late.

"No," Marinette gulped. The last time I saw him was when we four transformed and were trying to fight off Vex. He's suddenly... Changed...

Throughout the whole class time, Chloe would turn around, giving Marinette a smirk, telling her, you thought you two would be together? You thought wrong...

Marinette kept trying to ignore it, until it was time to leave for home. She hurried out of class, as Adrien walked up to Chloe and asked if they could walk home together.

"Hey Marinette, wait!"

Marinette didn't wait for whoever was calling her. She kept running until she ran out of the school, running down the stairs.

"It's not what you think!" The person yelled. "That's not Adrien!"

Marinette turned after hearing those words. She turned to see Max, who was trying to catch his breath.

"What do you mean that's not Adrien?"

"Well I mean, he is, but Chloe did something to him," Max explained. "You know how Roger Cop suddenly said Lucas was guilty without even investigating in it? Chloe did something to him as well."

It made sense to Marinette, but it also didn't. What could Chloe do to them to make them suddenly change.

"I'll tell you, let's go somewhere else," Max took her hand and dragged her further away from the school.

Finally they decided on Marinette's bakery house, and went up to her room. Then Max took something out of his pocket.

It was a needle.

"This isn't the real one," he said, placing the needle done on Marinette's desk. "But Chloe has got a needle. Whenever she makes people take those needles, they change."

"So you're telling me that Chloe has been suing a needle to get what she wants?" Marinette ran over what Max had told her, and Max just nodded.

"How do you know this?"

"I saw it in action," Max answered. "Chloe stabbed the needle in Adrien's arm. At first his eyes turned red, then they changed back to normal."

I can already imagine who gave her this needle. Marinette shuddered. "Thank you for the info, Max. If it wasn't for you, I would have still been thinking that Adrien totally hates me now."

"No problem, but," Max's face changed all of a sudden. "You better hurry. These infections last for a week, and then they... Become permanent."

Marinette gasped. "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, right now it's fine, but when a week passes, the infection will he permanent. Which means, that there will be no way to cure it after a week..."

"Which means Adrien will continue to hate me after a week is gone. Max, how do I stop it?"

"That, I don't know, but I'll try to find out," Max shrugged. "Anyway, it was nice talking to you."

Before Marinette could ask another question, Max was already on his way down.

Adrien has still got a week, but Roger Cop... He's got only two days...

Marinette picked up her phone dialing Alya's phone number.

"Hello, Marinette?"

"Alya, you have to come down quick! You've got to help me!..."
