Hawk Moth slowly stood up from the ground he had been sent to from Cat Noir's baton. He stared right into the cat's eyes.

"Cat Noir... Adrien... You don't know the reason why I'm doing this," he breathed out as Cat Noir glared at him.

"And I don't care!" Cat Noir gritted his teeth as he spoke. He made a move to attack again, but Hawk Moth stopped him.

There it was. Weakness... Right in his eyes. Cat Noir could tell that soon Hawk Moth was about to give up.

"I did it, for all of us," Hawk Moth pointed out. "I did it for our family."

"I don't get it," Cat Noir spoke. Right there not only did he see weakness in his evil father's eyes, but he also caught something like... Desperation...

"I did it for your mother!"

Cat Noir stopped. He gulped, he didn't move. For Mom? He did all this... For Mom? Why?

"If I got ahold of your miraculous," Hawk Moth explained more, "then I could be able to bring your mother back to life. I was so desperate to do this. I had to do anything to get her back..."

"Even hurting other people?"

"Like I said, I had to do anything. She was all I cared about!"

Right there Cat Noir felt his hatred once again rising. He raised his baton and hit it across his cheeks again.

"She was all you care about?!" He yelled as he continued to hit him. "SHE WAS ALL YOU CARED ABOUT?! SO WHAT ABOUT ME?! WHAT ABOUT YOUR OWN SON?!

"Cat Noir, stop, you're gonna kill him!" Ladybug tried to stop him, but the more Cat Noir yelled out, the more harder he hit his baton at Hawk Moth.

Hawk Moth did nothing to stop him from doing so. Instead he laid there helpless, letting it all come to him.

"I knew from the day you defeated Vex, that I was going to fail," he croaked out. "I just wanted to keep trying, just to get her back."

"UGH!" Cat Noir kept hitting him, until Ladybug grabbed the baton.

"Stop!" She yelled, clutching onto to the baton. "You're going to kill him if you don't stop."

"Well then let me do it. That piece of trash doesn't deserve to live!" Cat Noir made a move to get his baton back, but Ladybug didn't allow him.

He eventually gave up. "That night... It was you that knocked me out, right?"

Hawk Moth slightly moved his head a but to be facing his son. His face was bruised and bleeding from the many hits he had gotten. "What are you talking about?"

"That night... It was you that knocked me out... To get the peacock miraculous... Right?"

Hawk Moth didn't answer as he rested his face on the ground again. Cat Noir gritted his teeth in anger in realization that it truly was him that had done it.

"I thought you would change... I guess I was also wrong..." He bent down on his knees as the sound of the police officers filled the place.

"Huh?" Ladybug turned back to Carapace.

"I called the police," Carapace shrugged. "We've got Hawk Moth now, and I don't think he'll be trying to escape."

Ladybug handed the baton back to Cat Noir, and he de-transformed. He looked down as his father - Hawk Moth - the villain, was being taken away with Matthew and Chloe.

"Lets go back," Ladybug placed a hand on his shoulder. Then moving forward, she wrapped her hands around Adrien, and braced him in a hug, Adrien hugging back as he cried on her shoulders.

-

"I still don't think it good enough!" Adrien cried as Marinette sighed. "Remember the last time. Someone set them free. What if that happens again?!"

"Yes, but we all thought it was Lucas who did that," Marinette pointed out. "Turned out we were wrong, and it was really Chloe. Adrien, Chloe is in jail now as well. Who would want to possibly save these villains?"

Adrien frowned, still unsure. "I just can't believe it... He treats someone that's already dead much more better than he treats the one that's still alive. What did I do to deserve that kind of treatment?!"

"Adrien, I'm sure Gabriel loved you from the beginning. He just didn't show it as he needed to work hard to get the miraculous," Marinette shrugged, remembering that Adrien had warned them not to call him his father anymore.

"He just.. wanted a perfect family. I'm sure if he had gotten those miraculous, got his wife back alive, then he would also start paying attention to you."

"So what?! He still loves her more than me!" He cried in frustration.

"Think of it this way," Marinette said as she looked up at him. "You died..."

"What?!"

"You died..." Marinette continued again, "and I'm trying to get you back alive. Obviously because I care so much."

"But he hurt me..."

"I would hurt anyone that came my way just to get you back alive," Marinette cried, "because... Because I love you!"

Adrien stopped.

"I know the way he tried to get Emilia back was the wrong way,but he was trying. Didn't you see, Adrien? He looked so desperate! If you died and I failed to revive you, I would hurt myself, blame myself, until I would want to do suicide..."

"M-Marinette.."

"Because what's the point of life if you aren't here to enjoy it with me?! What's the point if I don't have the love of my life. Because I'm not obviously going to live on so easily. If you look through his point of view, you would see..."

"Well, if you out it that way..." Adrien looked down, then back up at her. "I've just been jealous of my own mother..."

"Oh, Adrien!..." Marinette walked up to him. "It's not your fault. You just wanted some love, and you deserve it!"

She closed the space as she pulled him into a passionate kiss, Adrien kissing back.

"I love you too, Marinette."
