"Lauren, why are you here?" Camila asked, more calmly now.
Lauren just stared at the empty door where I once was.
"Did she... just-did she just call you..." she trailed off, her eyes wide. You could practically see the wheels of her brain turning around in realization.
"Mommy. She called me mommy. Anything else you have to ask me? Or can you please leave now?" Camila crossed her hands over her chest in annoyance, her weight shifted from one leg to another.
"Why-why did she call you mommy Camz?" Lauren stuttered, still not quite realizing.
"Don't. Call Me That." Camila said sternly.
She instantly regretted it the second hurt fleshed through Lauren's green eyes.
"Sit." Camila ordered. Her voice is softer then before. Lauren set down and looked up at Camila.
Camila almost melted, she looked like a lost puppy.
She set down next to her, un-crossing her arms in the process.
"You can't say anything to absolutely no one. Is that clear?" She said as slowly as possible, so Lauren will understand her every word.
Lauren nodded understandingly.
"She's my daughter Lauren." Camila said, cracking up a smile. Lauren's eyes went wider.
"How... w-when? What- are you sure?" Lauren stuttered and Camila laughed.
"Pretty sure..." she giggled.
"I missed your laugh." Lauren blurted out.
"Lauren... you can't be here... we both know that." Camila softly said.
"Camz... I can't not see you. It's not possible. I tried. Oh god I tried. But I can't." Lauren shook her head, wiping as fast as she can her tears.
"I've missed you too." Camila said at last.
Quiet filled the room.
They might haven't seen each other in months, and haven't talked or texted in weeks, but they're still them. They're still Lauren and Camila, Camila and Lauren, The sun and the moon. In some weird way, they're both sure they will always be them. They're sure, that no matter how much they're still going to try, one will end up drowning without the other, and will find themselves in the other's hotel room; cuddling, moaning, laughing, messing around... crying... no matter what, they'll always find they're way to each other. So Lauren thought... why should they fight it if it's gonna happen sooner or later? so yeah... Lauren chose the sooner, and she really hopes, that this time, no one's going to wake up in the morning, alone, in that same hotel room, wondering if it was all a dream. No. Lauren hopes, that this time, they're gonna wake up to each other's arms, and kisses, and the smell of each other that smells just like home. And she's gonna make sure, that this time, she's not gonna do the same mistakes. This time, the only time she'll agree to leave, is with the other's hand interlocked with hers.
"I have five more minutes before going to dinner with my family so... whatever questions you have, you should ask them fast." Camila cracked another small smile, as did Lauren.
"How old is she?" Lauren whispered.
"She's ten. She'll be eleven soon though." Camila grinned thinking about her daughter that she loves and proud of so much, the one that makes sure Camila smiles at least ten times a day, and doesn't get Camila's damn excuses (or fake smiles, for that matter).
