thunder rumbling, castles crumbling,
i am trying to hold on.

she strutted inside the set confidently, her high heels clicking against the tile floor, the rumors didn't matter to her- or at least she was able to make it seem like she didn't care about the pictures of her boyfriend kissing another girl floating around social media, but she did and she was breaking, the poor girl was unable to eat or drink anything due to the lump in her throat and the constant sting in her eyes everytime she tried to fight her tears away.

she took a deep breath as she stopped in front of the director and greeted him, "oh, darling, i heard about isaac, are you okay?"

"i'm doing great, don't worry."she let out a heavy chuckle.

"well, we're ready for you,"he said and nodded over to the four of her friends talking while sitting in the booth.

"let's do this."she nodded and he told everyone to take their place, she could see kj look at her before whispering to cole, who sighed and shrugged, but she pretended to not see it as the director yelled "action,"

after they kept reenacting the same scene till everyone got it right, nina managed to slip out of the diner and go to her trailer as quick as thunder, and despite hearing her friends' calls, she didn't stop.

"i honestly can't believe justin did that to her on their anniversary,"camila sighed, "she really doesn't deserve this."

"i just need her to say the word and i'll break his fucking face,"kj said looking at her trailer as they all went to cole's.

"i think she just needs to not hear about him for a while, she'll eventually forget about it."lili stated.

"he was full on making out with her friend, lili, i don't think she'll forget about it that easily."cole shook his head.

kj sighed and camila put her hand on his back and rubbed it softly, "go talk to her,"

"i'll probably just say something stupid and annoy her."he shook his head and lili rolled her eyes.

"she'd really appreciate it if you went and spoke to her, kj, trust me."lili said tilting her head.

"i'll just mess it up, like i always do, besides- nina hates me, everyone knows that."kj huffed before looking at lili and camila, "it would make no sense for me to go and comfort her, but it would be normal for you two to go, so go."

"god, kj, you're so stupid,"camila muttered before standing up and extending her hand for lili, "let's go."

lili took her hand and got up with her, they both walked towards the trailer then knocked on the door and waited for her to open up but only heard a "go away!"

"nina, please open up, we just wanna know if you're okay,"

nina took a deep breath as she looked at herself in the mirror and tried to swallow the lump in her throat but failed miserably making her slam her palm on her dresser before she turned around and took another deep breath then opened the door.

"oh my god,"camila gasped as she looked at the mess in the trailer while lili just sighed and looked at nina with sympathy, shards of glass were scattered around the trailer and almost everything isaac ever got nina was cut up and thrown on the floor.

"my poor baby,"camila spoke and hugged nina tightly, feeling her heart shatter at the sight of the girl, but nina felt numb, she wanted to cry, but she couldn't, she was trying so hard to stay strong during her relationship with justin and the many times he let her down that now she could only feel numb and absolutely nothing else.

"nina, you can't- you can't do this to yourself, you need to let it out."lili spoke as she saw the poker expression on nina's face.

nina chuckled and shook her head, "i'll be fine."

"nina, please listen to lili, we're just trying to help you-"

"i don't need anyone's help, cami, i'm okay."nina shook her head again and sat down on the couch.

"can't you see what you've done in here? can't you see that you need to cut yourself some slack? you're not okay, stop lying to yourself."lili snapped, "anyone can see that you're just trying to hide but you can't, nina, you can't hide from this, you need to face it, you have to if you want to be okay."

nina looked at her and shrugged, "i- i just don't feel anything, guys, i only have this- this lump in my throat- like, it's hard to breathe but i just- i don't feel anything else."

a tear fell from camila's eye as she saw the state her friend was in, the cheery bubbly girl was gone in less than a second because of what an asshole had done, she sighed and took a deep breath before sitting next to nina and holding her tightly, "i don't know how lahey did this to you, but he really never deserved you, nina, you deserve so much better."
