The amber-yellow colours of the sunrise filled my room, just as my alarm went off like every morning. But today was different. Today was my first day at Westerburg High School.
I scrambled out of bed, brushed my messy auburn hair, and chucked on an outfit. I ended up with my standard just above the knee skirt, with a dark grey top, a denim jacket, and converses. So I wasn't like every other girl; I was me. Olivia Jane Dean.
I ignored my brother as I hung around the kitchen, eating a pear. He was mad at me. That feeling was mutual.
"I'm going now." I flung my backpack around my shoulder and headed out the door, not a word said. I looked at the bike that my brother (Who would only respond to the name JD) would definitely be riding to school.
I started walking down the pathway, eventually making my way to school. I took a deep breath and observed the building. I stood a little too long, and was pushed over to the side. I looked up; there stood 4 girls; all in different colours.
"Watch it." The green one said, eyeing me harshly.
"Shut up Heather!" The red one angrily growled. She looked back at me. "I don't know you."
"Neither do I." I replied. These girls towered over me, especially on their coloured pumps. The only one that didn't tower over me was the blue one.
"You're new?" The yellow one asked, shuffling foward. I nodded. These were clearly the popular girls. "What grade are you?"
"Junior." I tried to walk forward, but the red one stopped me.
"Well, you should who we are." The red girl pushed me back again, nearly toppling me over. "We are the Heathers. I'm Heather Chandler."
The green Heather waved with a annoyed pout. "I'm Heather Duke."
The yellow Heather smiled. "I'm Heather McNamara." My eyes turned to the blue Heather. She was clearly a an inch or a few shorter than the other girls; though that may of been due to the tall heels the others were wearing.
"Oh, I'm Veronica Sawyer." She held out her hand, and I quickly shook it.
"Look I really need to go." I told the girls, before backing away and running off. I dashed up the stairs, and slowed down when I got inside. As I passed through the halls, looking for my home room, I observed the students as they passed me.
Wannabes? Check.
Nerds? Check.
Stoners? Check.
Jocks? 100% Check.
Eventually I found my way to my home room, finding a seat up the back. I stared out the window, answering my name when called, and let the boredom sink in...

Hey! Sorry about the short chapter! I always feel horribly uninspired in the first chapter! But don't worry; next chapter will be longer! I hope you have a great day/night!
