The summer of 2007 was the year my testimony really began. It began like most summers Kaylee and I celebrating that there was no school! "Yeay!" We yelled all happy I was now 10 and She was 8 and our friendship had only grown.
"I can't do this!" The 8 year old groaned in annoyance, "Just keep trying!" I said rolling my eyes, "I don't get it rollerblading came so easy to me!" Kaylee shot me a glare, "Alex! You have better balance then me!"
"You have to work up!"
"Kaylee! Come here." We heard our dads voice he then brought her over and put his knee pad on her behind incase she fell, like a good big sister....I laughed.
"Come on Alex and Kaylee hurry up!" Mom says walking us into the locker rooms at the pool I walk slowly in behind Kaylee. "AHHHH!!!!!" Kaylee suddenly shrieked, "Kaylee? What's wrong?" Mom asks checking her over. She let go of Kaylee's arm, and the young girl fell sideways unable to keep standing. "Your not swimming today Kaylee."
"Aww but Mom!" I complain knowing I have No other friends at swimming lessons, "Kaylee isn't swimming its final, now go change." I groan and walk to the dressing rooms.

*Flashback* December of 2006
"Hello!" I young girl smiled at me as I swam by her, giving a slight smile I swam past her. This girl was really getting on my nerves, shed said hi to me every practice for 2 weeks! "Mom!" I groan getting out of the pool, "Yes?" She asks grinning, "That girl keeps saying hi to me!" Mom rolls her eyes as if its so obvious, "Then say hi back," she says in a "Duh" tone. I shrug and walk over and say, "hi" to this little girl who wouldn't ignore me like everyone else. "Hi!" She smiles, "What's your name?" I smile warily, "Alex" I say slowly, "Well I'm Melody, nice to meet you!"
And that was the beginning to a long, beautiful friendship that I would soon need very much.
