Now a little bit more about Kaylee. She was a total tomboy, I as a bi polar opposite, was a girly girl. All of Her friends where boys, there was Zane, Archer, Wayne, and Al. Zane was her very best friend they hung out all the time, they ran and played and laughed. Zane quickly developed a crush on Kaylee, but she had developed a crush on Wayne and he liked her too. I guess you could technically say they "dated" even though she was eight they liked Each other and held hands all the time, and once Wayne even said, "Mom? One day I'm going to marry Kaylee." And I'm pretty sure he meant it too.
Ok back to present day, well in the middle of that October we where out in a friends yard, behind my house. Jumping on the trampoline laughing and giggling. I walked over to a window to talk to one of my friends inside the window, then as I'm talking to him and watching him play his video game from the window. Suddenly I hear choking and gurgling, "Oh goodness Kaylee really?" I muttered annoyed turning around knowing Kaylee was doing something goofy as usual, but the sight I saw next would haunt me the rest of my life. I turned to see her laying flat on the trampoline choking on her saliva, gurgling and convulsing her eyes had rolled behind her head, "Kaylee? Kaylee!? KAYLEE!?!" I screamed, no answer I turned and ran as fast as I could to my house. Bursting into the door screaming and choking back tears, "Kaylee won't answer me! She can't hear me!!" I sobbed, "Oh No!" My dad whispered standing and running back to see his daughter on the trampoline. By the time he got to the tramp, she was sitting up screaming dad scooped her up in his arms, "This is your fault!" He yelled at our friends not trying to be mean just worried about his little girl.
"Ok Doctor hang on." Mom set the phone down and preformed one final test on Kaylee, as I walked into the room, "She is weaker on one side...um her left." My mom said, "Ok." She set the phone down and went through all the tests again, "Ok Doctor she's fine...tired but fine." Mom listened for a moment then hung up looking at me and one of Kaylee's few female friends Ray. "She has to go to the doctor tomorrow to have some tests done." I nodded nervously as mom left to finish her bible study leaving Ray and I to entertain Kaylee with a tea party.
The next day she went to the doctors and was scheduled with yet another EEG.
*March 20th 2007*
"Kaylee! Kaylee! Guess what!?" I yelled happily, "What!?" The 7 year old asked happily, "Your next birthday is on Esther Sunday!" I said excitedly, "YEAY!" Kaylee squealed, "I can't wait!"
"What theme? Is it gonna be?" I asked, "Um? I don't know Alex." She answered me i gasped, "What about a flower party!?" I asked holding up a rainbow belt, "We could use this as a blindfold For a game!" Kaylee squealed, "Okay sissy!" She said, "I have to find a dress!"
The next day we went dress shopping Kaylee found a beautiful blue dress, it had split sleeves with sparkly blue sequins down the front. My dress was a beautiful pink tank top dress it was semi right down to the waist then layered at the bottom, "I love it!" I said happily bouncing out of the store with my dress after paying of course.
The party was fun, we woke up at 6 that morning to get ready we got into our dresses, curled our hair and walked out. We left for church after opening our Easter gifts!
When we got there, "Elina!" Kaylee yelled as she ran to her girl best friend, the girls where extremely close and had been pretty much since Elina's birth 6 years earlier. "Sorry I can't come to your party Kaylee, I'm going camping."
"Oh it's ok Elina." Sighed Kaylee sadly, "It's kind of a family party anyway." She said smiling at her uncle and cousins that had come for her birthday, "Well I got to go Elina talk to you after church!"
"Ok!" Smiled the younger girl walking away. As usual I walked around alone, with no one to talk to. I was a shy kid and because of that I was a loner.
As the service ended Kaylee ran back over to Elina to say goodbye the girls hugged and then she ran back over. The party was super fun! Kaylee got her first diary, a little purple one with a silver heart lock. She also got glitter hairspray which we happily put in our hair, it showed up much more easily in my dark auburn hair then in her light golden blonde hair.
Kaylee also got a big white lamb (by fat her favorite) she sat hugging it for the rest of the time and named it Lambie. "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Kaylee, happy birthday to you!" Our voices rang out with glee, Kaylee slumped in her seat hugging Lambie and blushing slightly as she shyly grinned and blew out the candles to her cake, "YEAY!" We all cried and ate the delicious cake, "Best birthday ever!" Kaylee grinned, and for a small part of time everyone was happy, including me.
