Akki was calling someone for the first ten minutes of their drive. Then he asked her about the headache, and she waved him off saying it is ok.
Actually she was feeling better, and was about to relax when Akki turned the car to the airport road, and she turned to look at him with a frown.
'Akki...where are we going?' She really didn't feel like going anywhere other than home. But this road was not taking them home anytime soon.

'Oh..Anu, I forgot to tell you. We are going to pick up someone from airport. You know our neighbor John uncle.. don't you? His nephew is visiting.' he said.
' Oh no!!! I should have called a cab, this was a bad idea. She scolded herself for calling Akki. Now she was struck with Akki for the rest of the day for this nephew. She sighed herself..and looked outside of the window.
There was less traffic on the road, since it was the middle of the day. Temperature has slightly came down by last week. Summer was coming to an end, soon there will be rain and winter will knock on their doors.

She came to Qatar on a winter season. Two years in Qatar, she couldn't believe herself, that she actually stayed here and found a new life. Time really flies, but her heart was still in pain.
Time and seasons couldn't sooth her grieving heart. It was like her heart had been frozen on that painful time. She looked absently at the straight never ending road ahead. The sand coloured buildings ran past them.

As they approached the airport, Akki pulled the car over to a petrol station to fill up the car. Anusha was hungry and her head was actually hurting now.
As they waited in the line to tank up, she clutched her purse and got out of the car.
"Akki...while you fill up the car , I will get something to eat. Do you want something? She asked pointing towards the Sidra coffee shop and super market.
' No Anu, I had an early lunch today. You go ahead and buy something quickly.' he said without looking up from his phone.
She climbed out of the car, and went to the super market. She bought a cup of coffee, cream bun and some chocolates too. As she paid at the counter, she saw Akki waiting outside. She got into the car and gave him some chocolates and started sipping her coffee.
' Chocolates and coffee for lunch today? What a combination' he laughed as he started the car.
' I have cream bun too,' she pointed her bun wrap.
And added 'don't tell Rashi that I have these unhealthy things for lunch, she will have a heart attack' they both laughed at that.
Anusha and Rashi lived in the same old villa. Rashi and Akki stayed in the main portion of the villa, while Anu rented the studio room behind their home. It was small but she felt more safe with Rashi near and Rashi made sure that her friend had healthy meals always, like her mom and Akki was like a brother to her. She met him on their engagement day with her best friend Rashmi. They liked each others company since then. He was a nice guy who loved Rashi and their lovely daughter very much. She was sure that he will look out for her too.

As they entered the airport terminal road, Akki got a call.

'Um.. his plane just landed now. Let's hope he will get out quickly.' she gasped thinking that how long it will take to reach home.
She drank her coffee slowly, ate her cream bun and ate half of the chocolates too. She felt better and relaxed a bit. As they approached the exit area, Akki called the guy, who was now waiting for his luggage.

They waited in the car for next 15 minutes before they got his call and drived to the arrival gate number 3. As they pulled into the exit gate area,Akki waved at a guy, who was standing right in front of the 3rd exit.

He smiled and waved back . As Akki got out and helped him to put his luggage in the car, Anusha studied him through the mirror. He is tall, taller than Akki, lean with black floppy hair and dark eyes.
' this dude is moving to Qatar or what?' she wondered looking at his luggage.
For someone who is visiting for one or two months, he definitely had it huge. Akki and this new guy were talking like there was no tomorrow.
