#27 Junkyu

Just before the class was about to finish, the rain started to pour outside.

You looked at the window as you watch the rain getting heavier and heavier. You got worried.

"But I don't have an umbrella." You said to yourself.

The teacher started to dismiss the class and you got all your things. Hearing your friends and classmates saying and waving their goodbyes, you realized that you didn't have a classmate to have you under their own umbrellas.

You and your classmates did not have the same bus stops. You have no choice but to go without umbrella and just let the rain soak you. You are going home, anyways.

"Bakit di ka pa umuuwi? Wala kang payong?" You saw Junkyu stood up beside you while looking at the rain.

"Yep." You replied and looked away, looking at the rain too. "Well I have." He said.

That made you look at him again. Wait, is he going to let you borrow his umbrella?

"And I'm going to use it. Kawawa ka naman HAHAHAHA." He looked at you and he laughed.

You rolled your eyes at him. He always makes fun of you for no reason.

"I'll go now. Bye." He said and waved his goodbye.

You smiled a bit and watched his back while walking away.

Actually, you like Junkyu. Ever since you and him became classmates, he's the only who caught your attention and heart. You have been liking him secretly for
a year already. This year's the second.

But lately, you've heard that he's been liking you too. You've taken that as a joke though. He's always been teasing you! Even though you like Junkyu, you can't just believe him. You don't want to be hurt and disappointed soon with false hopes.

10 minutes had passed and you're still waiting for the rain to stop. Somehow, it poured moderately and you decided to go home.

You went downstairs of your school's building and just before you finally stand on the first floor, you saw Junkyu.

You stopped and you tightened your grip on the handle at the side of the stairs.

He's looking at you.

Why is it like this? You put your right hand at your chest as you saw him smiled. He's making your heart flutter.

"Bakit ka pa andito?" You managed to asked him as you walked towards him.

"Here." He handed you his umbrella. "Sira eh. Ayoko gamitin." He said.

You opened the umbrella and - "Okay naman ah." You said as you inspect his umbrella. What is he saying?

"Basta, sira iyan. Sayang naman kung hindi lang magagamit so ipapahiram ko nalang sayo."

You was like, 🤔😕 with this guy.

He started to turn his back. But before he started to walk, he said something. Almost in a whisper, but enough for you to hear.

"Hindi lang kita pwedeng pabayaang mabasa sa ulan. Ayokong magkasakit ka."
