Jacc was running, he was covered from head to toe in bruises and cuts; he wasn’t sure how long he had been running for. Only a couple of hours? Maybe? One thing he was certain of though, Jos and Billie were probably right behind him.
“Jos! I can’t run anymore!” Billie yelled, she was only little, although she had survived the greatest of things, she wasn’t good at running long distances.
“Right, come here then!” Jos grabbed Billie and put her on his back. Jos was strong built, he could run for miles without stopping, but then again, why hadn’t Jos caught up with Jacc?
Jacc started to slow down, he had to cross a field that became vaguely familiar, where was this place though? Jacc couldn’t remember what his street looked like he had been out for so long. He climbed the fence. Fell down and scraped his face along the tarmacked road. Jacc knew he wasn’t allowed to cry, crying made his eyes water which meant difficult sight.
“Don’t cry Jacc, don’t cry.” He started to feel like he was going to throw up his heart he was so scared. He knew he had to put a good thought into his mind, what though? He hadn’t had any nice thoughts. His dad. Maybe he could remember something about his dad? No, of all Jacc could remember, Rob was a man that worked in the army and wanted to die. That was it.
“Come on Jacc, nice thoughts nice…thoughts…“ Jacc stopped. He was there, he turned around and in front of him was his flat. Something in Jaccs’ mind made him remember this immediately. What could he do though? He turned around; Jos and Billie were now crossing the field fence.
“Leave it Jacc. Walk away.”
“IM COMING FOR YOU!” Jos yelled. With that, Jacc ran past his ‘house’ and knocked on Reece’s door.
“What? Jacc! Where have you been! Sasha and Sam have been looking all over for you! “Reece said. He yanked Jacc into his hallway.
“MAN! You look a mess!” Reece and Jacc were best friends. Reece was older than Jacc, but one thing they had in common, they both shared the same birthdays. That made them seem like brothers.
“Look Reece, let me sleep here? Please? There’s these two people after me. I know they want to kill me.”
“Sure! It’ll be like an early birthday! Because it is our birthday not tomorrow but the next day!”
Reece told his mum about Jacc, they got on well so Reece’s mum let Jacc stay.
They had a full roast. All the trimmings too. Jacc scoffed down the lot. He hadn’t had a proper meal for ages! Reece and Jacc got some duvets, and blankets and slept downstairs. Jacc knew that Jos and Billie weren’t far away, but where were they though?
