CHAPTER THIRTEEN - 3 YEARS ON.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACC!" Belle said, as she walked into the living room/kitchen. It was great. Life couldnt be better, Jacc and Belle had been living on the boat for 3 years, Jacc was ten, he didnt go to a permanent school because they were travelling alot. At the start, Belle's plan was to arrive in Calais safely, but they decided not to, and have been travelling around places for 3 years. Eventually they will arrive, only when they are ready though.

"Thanks Belle! Wow! This is amazing!" Jacc exclaimed, opening a present...one after the other.

"To think that 3 years ago, your life, well. Was pretty terrible!" 

"I know! This is the best life. Its never EVER going to change!"

"I cant believe your ten though! Wow. Anyways! You better get ready for school! Despite it being your birthday, you've still got to learn!"

"Ok...Ok!" Jacc walked into his cabin bedroom, there was a bed, a chest of drawers and posters all over the walls. On the bed was Jacc's diary. he writes in it everyday.

Dear Diary.

Happy Birthday toooo meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Hahaa its my birthday! Im ten years old! Wow! Looking back on my life, these past three years have been the best! I love Belle, she is amazing. The best sister ever! I still have nightmares though, about me having the journey I did running away. Meeting Jos and Billie, Reece. He was and alway will be my best friend! Then finding Belle. Mum and Sam, they dont hardly cross my mind now, they werent exactly the best people in the world! Oh. So. I shall write in you tonight then diary as I have to go to school!

"Bye Belle! Im off to school!"

"Bye Jacc! Have a good day!"

Jacc walked out of the boat and along the pontoon, school was ok. It wasnt the best, but Jacc could have thought of worse!

The journey wasnt long at all, across a field and through a pathway and he was there.

* * * * * * * * * *

"Morning Jacc!" Miss Fri said as he arrived at school. 

"Now before I forget, Belle rang said you need to go home at lunch and wont be coming back? Is this goodbye from us?"

"It could be Miss." Jacc replied.

Jacc made his way into the hallway for assembly, everyone always stared at him when he cam in, he was like the odd one out from all of the others because of his background story.

"Hey! You ok?" It was Jacc's friend, Saff. Jacc's only friend really, out of all the friends he tried to make, Saff was the only one that didnt change the friendship because of Jacc's childhood.

"Yeah! On the whole, I guess I am, but I might not be seeing you again." Jacc sat down.

"What? Why?"

"Me and my sister travel alot, and I guess its time to move on again." 

"Oh." Saff was heartbroken, her and Jacc were amazing friends. She didnt want to loose him.

*LUNCH TIME* 

"Ok, Saff. I have to go now."

"Look if this is goodbye. Dont forget me yeah?"

"Of course I wont."

Jacc walked out of the hall and outside onto the school grounds. He told himself 'dont look back' because he knew how it would end.

That was it. Jacc was out of BallyFall school and onto another life. Again. He ran back home.

"BELLE! BELLE WHERE WE GOING?"

"WE. MY FRIEND. ARE GOING TO CALAIS!"

"No really. Where we going?"

"No. Im serious this time."

"Ok. When you ready Belle."

Belle ran up onto the top deck, she pulled some ropes, and was ready to go.

"Ready Jacc!"

Inside, Jacc pulled a big leaver to start the motor. They were ready. Jacc ran into his room and grabbed his usual items as to what he has when they set off somewhere new. Blanket. His diary, and his notepad.

He ran onto the deck and joined Belle. Sat down and opened his diary.

Dear Diary.

We're off to Calais...
