Jessi and I were merely having a stroll, talking, getting nervous, making stupid jokes to take our minds off our flippin' DEATH PROPHECY. Jess calmed down a bit, and she wasn't as nervous as before, which was pretty darn good, considering I was the last person you would want to get stuck in a place like this with. Then all of a sudden, there was a loud noise. I don't mean loud like a bullet being shot without a silencer, I mean loud like an explosion!
"What the hell was that?!" yelled Jessi.
After the ringing in our ears stopped, everything was quiet, just as before.
Everything looked the same, yet somehow, somewhere, there was a loud noise. Jessi was freaked out all over again.
"Jess, it's ok. It was just a loud noise. Maybe that means help is coming, like someone is bashing down the entrance to this place." I was trying my best to comfort her, but really, I don't think I was making any progress.
"Ok," she said, " ok. It's not like anything could get worse, right?" She faced me, and asked this question. My face must have told her something was wrong.
"Right, Tyla? Right?!"
"Shhhhh..." I whispered, "Walk towards me slowly, no sudden movements. Then turn around, just as slowly. Do. Not. Panic."
Her face showed surprise, and anxiety. She was scared and I knew it. Obviously, she did as I told, thank god, but when she turned around, she got the biggest fright of her life.
