The sun shined on the high school that is know as Smosh High. Students crowed around the building, talking and laughing with each other. They all scurried inside the building like little mice, trying not to be late as the bell rang.

NOAH

I honestly don't know whether to be offended or happy that my bio partner asked the teacher to switch groups. She was pretty rude anyways and would just make me do all the work and then take the credit for doing it. I snap out of my thoughts as I hear my name.
"Mr. Grossman!" My teacher yells, looking sternly at me.
"Y-yes, Mrs. Murphy?"
"What's the formula for photosynthesis?" I list it quickly, going back to seventh grade when we learned about plants and other various things.
"Very good, Noah. Now pay attention." I stop tapping my pencil on my desk and look at the white board.
"Pst... hey, Norman." A voice next to me says.
"Norman." The voice says again. I look around to see who's saying it. A scrawny boy with dark skin and a hipster style is looking right at me.
"Me?" I ask.
"Yes, you. Can I borrow that pencil?"
"Sure. The name's Noah by the way."
"My bad, Norah." I sigh and hand him the pencil as the man says my name wrong once more. How did that guy even get into this class? He looks pretty dumb and he can't even bring a pencil. What a moron. I laugh to myself. The class seems to go on for hours until the bell rings and all the students start crowding around the door.
"Noah, remember to find another partner for that project or I'll give you double the work for yourself!"
"I will, Mrs. Murphy!" I enter the student crowed halls and try to make my way through to the cafeteria. When I finally make it, I'm greeted with a unpleasant surprise.
"Nate! Dude, I forgot to give you your pencil back," the man from bio says. He sticks his hands out holding my pencil. Instead of neat and perfect like before, it's all chewed up and gross.
"You know what, you can keep it," I suggest.
"That's so nice of you, man! My name is Keith."
"And my name is Noah."
"Yeah, I already knew your name." I sigh.
"Fantastic."
"So, where you sitting?"
"Um, probably in the annex or something."
"Cool! Can I sit with you?"
"I'm sure your friends will miss you."
"Nah, I sit alone. Thanks for caring though," I let out another long sigh but lighten up a bit. Maybe this won't be so bad? I mean, I could use a friend or two and take a break from my studies.
"Well, the annex is over there, let's go," we start heading over to some tables at the back of the cafeteria. Keith seems like a nice person but sometimes he's kind of annoying. Noted. We start having light conversation about biology and video games. It was nice talking to somebody at lunch and sitting with them, I honestly think that I could get used to this.

Maybe this year at Smosh High won't be so bad after all.
