Chapter 17

We stopped walking and he faced me as I dropped my head after saying the whole lot of words.

"What are you embarrassed of? I promised to help you so trust me," Guan Lin said.

"Yes I must be. I kissed you and cried in front of you. Besides I probably have 5 people annoying you since you agreed to help," I said avoiding his eyes which were staring at me.

"And never have I said that I have trouble with whatever you have listed down," he replied.

I continued to avoid his eye contact.

"Look at me," he said in a deep voice.

I still avoided his eyes. I could not fall for him if I want to avoid trouble with Bin Hyun in the foreseeable future.

His hands cupped my chin and it was tilted to face him.

"I promise to help you so don't ever be embarrassed in front of me," he said as his eyes wandered around my face searching for my expression.

Our eyes met and I forgot my warning as I yearned to pull him close and trust him as myself and not as someone else.

"Fine," I replied as I continued to walk home.

He followed behind me.I smiled proud that I fought the urge to fall for him. Thank you Ji Hyun.

At home:

I changed into a formal attire with white blouse and black skirt as I will be visiting the office. Black heels matched my outfit as I made my way down to meet Mr Kim and grandfather.

A/n:I edited it so like all CEOs are changed to chairman instead as I finally remember the word. Except for Park Yeo Won is aiming for the CEO position because that's the position Ji Hyun is having.

I greeted my grandfather and entered the car with him.Mr Kim sat in the driver seat. We drove in complete silence till we reached a huge building. Mr Kim opened the door and there were lines of people waiting to greet us. We walked and the line of men followed in two rows behind us.

We walked and rode the lift till we arrived in front of a room. Another two shorter rows of men appeared with Park Yeo Won and Park Yena in the front leading. Guan Lin appeared too with his own two rows of men.

"Nice to meet you, father," Park Yeo Won said as he smiled at grandfather. Guan Lin just bowed and lowered his head to show respect.

"Park Yeo Won is one of the directors and Park Yena is the Chief of his department. Lai Guan Lin is the Head Of Director," Mr Kim whispered to me. Basically repeating whatever is stated in the file.

I just nodded slightly to acknowledge him and followed grandfather into the room together with them. I sat at the CEO place as instructed by grandfather before he sat at the head of the table. The seat is at the right side of the long table. In front me sat Guan Lin and diagonally across sat Yena unnie. Beside me sat Mr Yeo Won. Across the table sat all the other directors and head of department sitting across them.

At the left side of the room line all the secretaries. Two guards stand at the door.

The meeting went on as each department shared their plan. At the end of it, I was introduced by my grandfather. All the older men clapped and congratulated me. I know it's fake as they showed a surprised face at the announcement.

As I left the room I heard mutterings of them. I was introduced to my office when I graduated from high school. Mr Kim also explained some of the accountants' things. We took the same car home with Guan Lin joining us.

I was dismissed and went to my room. I changed into a comfortable shorts and shirt and started to look at the files I have received.

I don't know why but the picture of my father triggered something in me.

Start flashback:

Thud,Thud,Thud.

A bright light appeared as the door opened. The grandfather clock rings.

"What did I say about coming here to play with that child?" a deep voice came. A shiver ran down both the children's spine as the silhouette of a man came towards them.

"Who gets hurt if you decide to play?" the voice continued as he walked closer and closer. The small boy wrapped his body around the small girl as the man approached them.

After that was a blur of screams, cries and the sound of a cane hitting the skin repeatedly.

I felt pain as the children got hurt. I feel the cane hitting me. It cannot be me, that small girl.If it was, where is the boy.

End of flashback:

I found myself crying. I did not realize someone knocked on my door. The door of my room opened.

"Oh, Bin Hyun. Why have you come today?"

I smiled as I saw the beautiful dimple and heard the deep voice. I blushed as I remembered my memories with him.

Wait blush? That pink colour thing that appeared on your cheeks? Well you can say it is my first time blushing.

"Guan Lin!" I said as he walked towards me and sat on my bed.

"Wait, how do you recognize me?"I asked.

"Well those beautiful dark brown eyes are so easy to differentiate,"he replied as he stood up and moved closer to me.

He was standing directly in front of me and bent down to meet my eye level. His face was dangerously close to mine.

"How bout we hang out? And talked about how you harassed my lips that day," he said his breath hitting my neck.

I rolled my eyes at him to cover my flustered face and walk into the walk in closet. I changed into a black horizontal stripes crop top with black ripped jeans.I walked out of the closet and saw him waiting for me.

We walked out of the mansion and arrived at a cafe near the school. He sat in front of me and we ordered our drinks. I was sipping on my coffee and-

"So why did you kiss me that day?"

I spit out coffee. He then laughed at me.

"I'm serious though,"

"Guan Lin,I like you and yes I have only seen you a couple of times and yes I share this body with another person. However, I still love you.I want to pull you close.I get jealous when you are close to the other girls in the body,"I said.

He smiled at me. He held my hand and pulled me out of the cafe,coffee in our hands.We walked in a park nearby. Our hands still connected with each other.

"I cannot promise you that I will not help Jin Hyun.You guys are in one body all 5 of you. I promise that I'll treat you all the same," he said as he faced me.

I do not want to share him with anyone but if that's the furthest I can get to being close to him then I'm willing. I will just agree and make Jin Hyun stay away.

Chapter epilogue

Bin Hyun pov

I woke up by blocking someone's punch. I twisted her arm and stood up. Behind her stood two other girls ready to fight.

I let go of the fist and saw her holding her poor hand. I glared at the two.

"What are you going to do? Flirt with us? Luckily we are straight," one of them said as the girl with whom I twisted the hand laughed with the others.

"With the caked make-up I wonder who's the slut,"I scoffed.

They give me the ‘how dare you’ face and a bunch of punches and etc. happen.
