Part 12

Day 8..

Khushi was downstairs in the living room alongside Anjali finalizing the details for the engagement. Shyam was there as well as he had taken couple of days off from work to help out at the insistence of his wife and he could not deny any of her requests. Anjali looks lovingly at Khushi who was penciling down some notes in the paper, when she senses someone looking at her. She stops writing and turns towards Anjali with a questionable face.

"Di, kya hua? Aap theek tho hai na?" Khushi asks her with a soft voice.

Anjali smiles brightly and answers, "Nothing Khushi, I am okay." Khushi nods her head and smiles at her as she went back to her notes, all of sudden she feels the atmosphere change and feels the sense of someone coming. Not just someone, but the one that makes her heart go pitter-patter. She looks towards the staircase; there he was coming down in crispy black suit, with a white shirt under his waist-coat Khushi had to admit, he looked utterly sexy and gorgeous.

He comes towards where they were seated and says, "Di, I have an important conference call today at the office and I have back to back meetings so I will be late coming home."

Anjali looks at her brother with a smile and nods her head. Khushi was staring intently at him, so that he could look at her direction and then he did. But what she saw in his eyes left her baffled. There was no emotion whatsoever; all she saw was indifference as she did not exist at all for him. He turned on his feet and walked out of the house without even a backward glance towards her.

Anjali too saw that and was left wondering what happened to her brother. The way he looked at Khushi was as if she did not exist for him. "Khushi don't lose hope; remember what I said last night."

Khushi looked towards her with confusion on her face as she had no idea why he was behaving this way. Just last night everything was good and now he is acting as if it did not matter and she did not matter.

"Khushi remember I told you that chote has suffered immensely in his life. Especially after the loss of our mother he stopped believing in love and everything that goes with that emotion." Anjali told her and placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

Khushi closed her eyes and remembered the letter that his mother had wrote for her and smiled. She had vowed at that moment that she will not give up and will always be by his side, "I am not losing hope Di. But one thing is for sure; your brother definitely has dual personalities." She shakes her head and continues, "One minute he is a nice guy and the other an angry man with a chip on his shoulder."

Anjali and Shyam hearing this burst into a fit of laughter. They were in an awe of this girl, who was willing to take on the angry man Arnav Singh Raizada with all of his complex personalities.

"Well said Khushi." Shyam told her with a smirk playing on his lips.

They all started to laugh again at the cost of Arnav when they heard a loud voice saying, "Honey I am home!"

Hearing the voice, Anjali instantly smiled as she knew that voice very well and turned towards the entrance of the door and there stood a tall, dark and gorgeous guy with his hands open. She let out a small whisper, "Dhruv."

She stood up and saw her baby brother lovingly beaming a smile at her. He walked in and was engulfed into a hug from Anjali as she too had started to walk towards him. "Oh my god, Dhruv you are here! I am so glad." Anjali told him affectionately and kissed his cheek.

Khushi looking at the guy and wondered who he was asked Shyam, "Jeejaji, who is he?" She darted her eyes towards the guy and Anjali.

Shyam smiling at seeing his wife and her brother hugging answered, "That is Dhruv Singh Raizada, Aakash's, Arnav's and Anjali's brother younger brother."
