"WHAT THE FUCK?"
I snap my head around, meeting the intruder's eyes. Well—two intruders, to be specific.
I nearly moan in frustration, wishing that they'd just go away so Sam could spill whatever he's been longing to, until my eyes focus and register two familiar figures.
Carla and Andrew's jaws are both dropped to the ground, their round eyes settled on us. I look back at Sam and realise dumbly that his arms are still wrapped around me and we're probably too close for everyone's liking.
Andrew's trying to hold in his smile by now and Carla's gaping at us with a wide smile that horrifically reaches her ears.
I wait one beat before shoving him away from me and taking two steps backwards. Sam bumps against the door initiating a groan, but the look on his face doesn't tell me he's in pain.
He peeks at me, whispering through his act, "Stop trying to make everyone believe you don't want to be around me."
My face goes red and I quickly turn around to face my friends, ignoring his embarrassing remark. It doesn't take long for him to regain himself smoothly as he rests an arm on the hood of the car.
"Were you guys kissing?" Carla shrieks loudly, making me bow my head in embarrassment.
I groan, "God, no!"
I peek at Sam who's smirking shamelessly, which makes Carla automatically think it's a yes. Damn, it even made me believe it's a yes. Thank God for that, I needed it.
After kissing Nate, what are they thinking?
Carla is back at it again, noticing I haven't denied it twice—which would be unlike me, apparently.
"Oh, my God! I knew it! Eva is Sam's secret girlfriend!"
I curse out loud. I'm glad it's dark as I feel my face becoming red.
"Come again?" I snap harshly with a threatening smile, hoping she gets the point to shut up.
"I mean, when did you get so close? How did we not notice, Andrew? Did you notice?"
"Not at all," Andrew replies back with a shake of his head.
"Is she, Sam?" Carla clutches his arm excitedly and shakes it. "Is she your girlfriend?"
Sam just keeps on laughing, remaining silent the whole questioning. He still isn't denying the questions which makes it ten times worse because nothing actually happened between us.
