SURF .CH.1

Hey! This is the first book I've written on Wattpad so far and I'm pretty happy with it.

Nani POV:

"Aloha Ana!" i shouted to my sister as I left to catch the first big waves that rise in the morning. There always so big at... I checked the time on my phone. 6:50!!! I scrambled out the door not caring if it slammed behind me because I may as well give Ana a wake up call if she's gonna get up anyway. I laughed in my head as I jumped off the last step and grabbed my bord and headed to the beach. I walked toward the beautiful blue water, down the beach,with my surf board in one arm and my legs covered in sand, I ran toward the water once I felt the sand was wet. I dove onto the crystal clear water with my white surfboard beneath me. It's all white with black a franjipani flower in the middle on the top and mandalas on the button also in black. As soon as me and my bord made contact with the water I slipped my hands along the bord and let my fingertips glide along the cool water be fore I started to paddle. The first wave started to form in front of me. "That's my que" I said to myself and dug one hand in the water to my left and trusted myself around to face the shore and I began to paddle vigorously. Within seconds The wave swept me and my board into the centre of the wave. As I used my legs to instruct the board to dance on the wave along to the music of the flowing water above me. The wave began to curl up and crash down behind me as it slowly fell. I smiled in victory as i escaped from the small opening on the side of the wave just in time before it closed behind me. After I caught a few more waves i walked out of the water with my board and ran up to the little juice hut, it was made from wood and had metal sheets around the four sides and a straw roof. It was set up on the beach beside a few tables and mismatched chairs. "Aloha" I shouted when I saw one of my closest friends Taavi who run the hut, and Ana sitting at the bar. "Aloha Taavi Aloha Ana" i said again exhaustion evident in my voice. "Where's Akela this morning? He's usually here around this time?" "He said he'd be here soon, think he went to the toilet" Ana replied sipping on her drink. I nodded in understanding. "Nice to see you again Nani". "How was the surf this morning?" Asked Taavi "oh also,the usual I assume?" He questioned holding up the drink menu pointing to one of the drinks. "Yes please and the waves where am.az.ing!" I Moaned tossing my head back and throwing my arms out beside me while Taavi went to the back of the small hut to get some ingredients. "So" started Ana Turing to to face me. "Nani where are you taking the photos today?" She asked excitedly " the lagoon?, the salt lake?,or maybe around hūna lo lo bay!?"exclaimed Ana "I was thinking about the reef!" I Said taking a sip of my drink. A confused and concerned look appeared on Ana and taavi's face and they looked at eachother giving eachother a pointed look "The reef?" "You. want to got. to the reef?" I heard a familiar voice say behind me.

"Yeah? And what's wrong with that?" i said turning to see Akela, my best friend standing there with his hands on his hips and head tilted to the side. "no ones swam in the reef before it's dangerous Nani" Akela stated as he waved his hand around. "Who are you to tell me what to do!" i questioned standing up and poking at his chest " you know..... he IS right Nani, there could be anything in there!" Confirmed Ana "Barracudas, moray eels,tiger fish and more! You really have to be careful out there Nani!" yelled taavi from the back of the shop. "And why would you care if it's dangerous you guys aren't the ones who's going into the reef, plus I'll only be in there for a little while" I confirmed getting annoyed.

taavi threw his hands up giving up and continued to chat to Ana behind us whilst Akela looked at the ground trying to think of an excuse "exactly!" i shouted he put his head up and opened his mouth like he was going to say something but I turned around and stomped toward my old wooden house that sat behind the pine trees before he could start.I heard footsteps behind me as Akela ran after me asking for me to wait. Once I finally reached my house I shovelled around in one of the draws in my room looking for my camera "c'mon Nani!" Akela shouted at me running up the stairs on the front of my house. "You'll get hurt or some-"he was cut off as I slammed the door in his face and stuck my young out at him like the 5 yr old I am.

Akela's POV
Akela took a deep breath and started again "Nani if you get hurt you can't contact us and you could possibly not make it back!" I shouted... There was no reply "Nani?" "Nani?" I asked Again. i looked around the house through the flyscreen door but Nani wasn't there. Then a loud squeaking noise came from behind the house,I rushed to the side of the porch and leant on the railing to look where it came from. i looked around to see a door opening and Nani walking out with her camera and in her hand. with a bikini top and bottoms on, damn she looks good with a bikini on, she has abs. And damn her bu... wait what? What am I thinking I shook of my thoughts and continued to follow her.

"Ugh" I groaned rolling my eyes. "You really don't give up do you?" I said and jumped over the wooden post railings landing on the warm sand beneath and right in front of Nani . She stopped and looked up at me and crossed her arms "move" she ordered I have her a smirk and crossed my arms mimicking her. "Hmm nah" i Said shaking my head. She stepped to the left of me trying to get passed but I stood in front of her again. She stepped to the right but yelled when I closed the entrance again "Ok" "you either come with me or you stay here either way I'm going to the reef!" Yelled Nani sternly I consolted with myself and sighed " fine" i said looking down at her. "Can we At least go tomorrow?" I said "I'm hungry and it's going to be night soon anyway " i wined. "Fine. Come on" Nani said rolling her eyes grabbing my arm and turning her back towards the jungle path leading toward the reef.
