Nani's POV

It was early in the morning around 4:00 and the air was cool and thin. Stretching and yawning o fling me legs over the side of my bed. I don't know why I get out of bed this early I tell ya it's a curse to get out of a warm bed just to be greeted with goose bumps and cold toes! I slipped on my swimmers and started to write on a piece of paper...

'Dear Ana
I'm going to the outskirts of the reef with Akela. I will be back soon so me and you can and get a smoothie at Taavi's

XOXO'

I folded the piece of paper and put it on top of a sandwich I had made for Ana and popped it in the fridge.

Tiptoeing toward the door trying not to wake Ana I   grabbed a bag and stuffed a camera a towel some snacks for me and Akela in and headed to the door but just before I had time to open the door a loud KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK came from the other side startling me. I quickly swung open the door and saw Akela standing there. He didn't have a shirt on like usual ( which I'm ok with) and some dark blue and bright blue ombréd swim pants on with little black silhouettes of sharks on it "oh. ALOHA NA-" I cut him of and put my hand over his mouth "shhhhhhhhhhh" I whispered signalling toward Ana's Room. "Ohh" whispered Akela while nodding his head slowly  I grabbed his arm and headed down the stairs and walked under the old wooden house while Akela waited.

Akela pov:

When she walked out she had one surf board under each arm handed me one that was all black and had white mandalas on the bottom to match hers except mine had a white line down the middle on the top. "I heard the outskirts of the reef have some pretty narly waves this early in the morning" she said to make conversation "yeah? and who said that?"I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well er...me!" Said Nani confidently I laughed and shook my head as we continued to walk.

After a while of talking we just walked in silence every now and then I'd glance at Nani from the corner of my eye... she's so pretty. I stared a little longer not even realising it until she caught me staring and looked up at me, I quickly snapped my head back in front of me and I think I heard her giggle?

Soon Nani and I finally reached the scattered line where the sand and grass meet. I looked at Nani and pointed to a small opening in the middle of some vines across the other side of the small secluded beach . "Through there" i said slowly "through there is the reef." "We're very close so be careful of which way you point your board" I said pointing the tip of Nanis board away from that side of the beach. Nani raised one eyebrow with a smirk on her face. "Race?" She asked, we go to the water and see who gets the first wave" Nani asked. I made a 'hmph' sound "of your not afraid to loose" I said cockily taking the bag from her and throwing in on the sand she shook my hand before shouting  "ok.... THREE". She bolted to the water getting a head start I laughed and ran after her. with our boards skimming the water the first wave started to form and Nani and I turned our boards around and started to paddle. "I am totally gonna win this!" I yelled to Nani "nuh uhh" she yelled back.The wave pulled us back to the top of the wave as it continued to grow. With our surfboards curling the water beneath them and our legs steering the boards.

Nani POV

I could hear Akela start to loose balance behind me "ya alright there Akela?" I laughd as she heard him struggling to stay on his board "wh- wha- woaah" is all he managed to spit out as he wobbled on his bord. "Y-yeaaaa" replied Akela. As I continued to tame the wave with my bord. Soon I herd a SPLASH behind me. I started to laugh histerically knowing Akela had lost his balance completely and fallen off. "Wooohoooo!" I cheered throwing my hands up in the air as the wave shrunk back down tugging me back to the shore. Akela was about 4ft away from  me crawling out soaked in cold water dragging his board out of the thick wet sand.

I laughd as I placed my board on the sand and lay a towel onto big it before sitting down and throwing a towel to Akela once he reached me. Akela did the same beside me. "So who's the champion now Akela?" I Boasted "yeah yeah" he sighed Akela staring at the water. Akela is an amazing surfer with dark brown curly hair, deep chocolate eyes, a tatto on the top of his left arm, and a very cocky attitude.but he was damn good looking to make up for it. "You win this time Nani! But not the next time!" "Next time you'll be the one to fall of and I SHALL BE THE CHAMPION!" Akela yelled at the top of his lungs shaking his fist in the air "maybe" I said shrugging "but for now! I am the champion!" I Yelled and started to sing "we are the champions!" Akela tried to back himself up on her last comment but I pretended not to hear him over my dining.

Akela POV
"WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.. MY FRIEND!" I hit her arm playfully to stop her from singing. she gasped and held her arm where I hit her " oh I'm sorry did I hurt your feelings?" I said in a baby voice "yes I fact you did" she said jokingly and faced away. "Oh well I think I you need a hug" I opened my arms and smiled "no no no no no" she complained " awe why not?" I asked knowing the answer "because you soaking we-" she didn't have time to answer when I wrapped her in a big bear hug drenching her in water" "wet...." she finished giving me a glare.

I pushed her down on her surf board and shook my head like a dog and water sprayed all over her face "AKELA!" She yelled and pushed me down on my borard. She sat in top of me straddling my waist using her arms to keep mine from escaping. holy shit! I came to the realisation.we where all alone in a secluded place her only in a bikini and her on top of me whilst we're soaking wet. I smirked at her. She had a confused look on her face but she soon realised what I was thinking and slapped me on the arm again "ow!" I complained "are we doing round two or what?" She asked signalling to the waves "2 outa 3?" Askedo I asked "let's see if you can keep up this time" she laughed and picked up her surf board and I did the same.

No ones POV
Akela got in the running position and so did Nani "One...two... THREE" shouted Nani And they both bolted the to the water. Nani won again and Akela was annoyed but impressed. Nani walked over to Akela and stood up strait, standing hardly an inch away from him. she put her finger on Akelas nose as he scrunched it up. "I... win" she said laughing and sitting back down on the sand.

Wow that was a REALLY long chapter!

The last two chapters have been edited so are better and fro POV's
