"Come on, Wonwoo!" Mingyu yelled as he grabbed his jacket, keys and slipped his shoes on. Wonwoo groaned but got up anyways. He followed Mingyu's actions and grabbed his jacket and slipped his shoes on his feet.

"Where are we going anyways?" The shorter of the two asked. Mingyu only shrugged and smiled mischievously. He took Wonwoo's hand in his own and opened the door of their house, leading both of them outside to Mingyu's car.

Mingyu, being the gentleman he is, opened the car door for Wonwoo, making said man grin and blush like an idiot. He thanked Mingyu before entering the car and putting his seat belt on. The latter got in a few seconds after, doing the same as Wonwoo had. He started the car and pulled out of their driveway, smiling to himself as he thought about where he was taking them.

Wonwoo turned on the radio, surfing through channels that had nothing good to play. He finally settled for an more upbeat song. Something slow but something you could dance to. Something you would probably hear in a shopping mall. Mingyu knew the song, so he started quietly singing along. Wonwoo smiled dreamily as the lights of the street reflected on his face.

While Wonwoo's eyes were focused on the bright street lights of the city, Mingyu was focused on one thing only: Jeon Wonwoo. The road too, of course, but Wonwoo was more important. He never left Mingyu's mind.

Mingyu looked ahead at the busy street ahead as a wave of nostalgia washed over him. Wonwoo seemed to notice where he was as well, because every time they would drive by a certain place or building, he would tell about a memory he had of the place. Mingyu listened to all of his stories intently, watching as his boyfriend's face would light up over the special memories. The taller smiled to himself while listening. How did he get so lucky?

Because Mingyu didn't remember how to get there on his own, he had to use the GPS on his phone. Unfortunately for him, his phone was on 20%, meaning he needed to use his battery life wisely. He wouldn't want to get stuck somewhere unknown for the night. He mainly wouldn't want Wonwoo to be upset or uncomfortable. That was worse than getting lost.

Wonwoo suddenly reached over and grabbed Mingyu's free hand, letting a wide smile spread across his face. Mingyu's face turned a light pink color as his lips turned upwards to form a smile as well.

When they stopped at a red light, Mingyu opened a compartment and took a out charger. He plugged one side into his phone and the other into the charger. He quickly leaned over and kissed Wonwoo on the cheek before sitting back up, because why not. The older's face turned a light pink and he squeezed Mingyu's hand. How did he get so lucky?

A few minutes later, Mingyu turned down a dirt road that lead to their destination. To anyone else, the place they were headed meant nothing, but to Mingyu and Wonwoo, it meant everything.

"Hey Gyu?" Wonwoo said, snapping out of his dreamlike state.

"Yes?" He answered back.

"Isn't this where we had our first date?"

Mingyu nodded and smiled widely. Wonwoo had caught on.

Five years ago was when the two had first met each other. Four years ago was when they figured out they liked each other. Three years ago was when they had their first date. Mingyu brought Wonwoo to a small clearing in a forest for a picnic. Wonwoo didn't think he could fall for Mingyu any harder, but that day proved him wrong.

The car suddenly came to a stop once they reached the spot they were headed to. Mingyu got out and ran to the other side to open his boyfriend's door. Wonwoo thanked him again as his face heated up.

"So what are we doing here?" Wonwoo asked.

"Well, do you remember what we did for our first date?" Mingyu asked, slipping an arm over Wonwoo's shoulders.

"Weren't we supposed to have a picnic? I remember that you forgot the basket at your house."

They both laughed when they remembered how Mingyu left the basket with food in it at his house. He was more focused on Wonwoo than food.

"Yeah, so I thought I'd try it again. Wait here." Mingyu said as he walked to his car and opened the back door to grab their picnic basket. When he opened the door, he didn't see the basket, which made him panic. He then walked to the trunk of the car and opened it. Nope, no basket there either.

"You okay Mingyu?" Wonwoo called from the front of the car, where he was watching the sun set in the distance.

"Actually," Mingyu started after a sigh, "No. I forgot the basket again. I'm sorry Wonwoo, I promise I tried."

Wonwoo just laughed and shook his head.

"Don't be sorry. It's just like last time, and that makes it better."

"Really? You're not mad?"

"Why would I be? Everything is perfect, I have all I need."

"What is that?"

"You."

Mingyu flashed a blinding smile and hugged his boyfriend. He had all he needed too, which of course was Wonwoo. Words couldn't describe how much Mingyu loved and cared for him, same for Wonwoo. They had each other and that was all they ever needed.

After a moment of silence, Wonwoo spoke up.

"Let's watch the sun set together, Gyu." He said, grabbing his boyfriends' hand and dragging him to a spot where there were no trees to block the sun.

"You know, the sun setting is really beautiful, but I know something that's even more beautiful." Mingyu said while looking at Wonwoo.

"What is that?" Wonwoo asked, looking back into Mingyu's dark eyes.

"You."

Wonwoo blushed brightly as Mingyu wrapped him in a hug. There was no better way to spend a Friday night than like this. Neither one of them would have it any other way.

Finally, the sun set, and the black sky was filled with twinkling stars and a bright moon that reflected on their skin beautifully. Mingyu and Wonwoo were laying on the hood of Mingyu's car, watching the stars that hung above their heads and talking about whatever came to their mind first.

"Hey Wonu?" Mingyu said.

"Hm?" Wonwoo hummed in response.

"I love you more than anything else in the world."

"I love you too. I would say more than anything else in the world, but you are my world."

The shorter's words made Mingyu grin like an idiot. Wonwoo and Mingyu were now staring deep into each others' eyes, forgetting about the world around them. All that mattered was them. Wonwoo then leaned forward and kissed Mingyu's soft lips. When they pulled away, Mingyu moved over closer to his boyfriend, wrapping his arms around him.

Mingyu and Wonwoo eventually made their way back to their house an hour after they should have arrived because Mingyu wanted to take the long way home. That, and his phone died. At every stop sign, Mingyu would unexpectedly lean over and kiss Wonwoo's cheek, his excuse being "You're too cute not to kiss."

When they got home, they immediately went to bed and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Life sure was beautiful.
