The first time Mark caught Donghyuck cheating was two summers ago. Mark was in another state with his family for the second week of July, and when he came home, Donghyuck seemed different. He noticed little things around their room that made the idea of his boyfriend cheating on him come to mind, but he brushed it off. A few weeks after was the next time Mark had that thought in mind. Donghyuck had come home around 2 in the morning, claiming that he had got caught up talking at his friend Jaehyun's house. Mark didn't believe him entirely, but he still let it pass.

The last time that Mark caught the other was a few months ago, right after Valentine's Day. Donghyuck had come home super late again, saying he had been at Jaehyun's again. The boy had a disheveled appearance and was acting very strange. Mark questioned him, but no matter what he asked, Donghyuck would get defensive and claim he was just a friend. Mark wanted to believe the younger, but part of him just knew that it was a lie. He loved Donghyuck so much that even after he caught him cheating three times, he still stayed with him. Even though the younger had distanced himself so much, Mark still told him he loved him.

But here it was, the middle of May, and Mark had finally had enough. He was yet again home alone for the night. Donghyuck has been out later than he said he would be every night that week, and Mark knew he had no use being there anymore. Donghyuck was replacing him and he knew it. He didn't want to admit it, but it was true.

Mark had been left alone so much just this year that he hadn't been too surprised when Donghyuck still wasn't at home once it turned 3 am. He signed before finally deciding this was it; this was his time to go. He sighed as he made his way to their bed and crouched down to the floor before pulling out a box tucked under their bed. He opened it up, revealing a gun he had kept under there in case of emergencies. Mark walked back over to the window before sitting down and opening it up.

Meanwhile, Donghyuck was trying to quietly make his way inside and into their room so he wouldn't disturb his boyfriend. When he reached their room, he opened it, expecting to see Mark in the bed asleep, but that was clearly the opposite.

"Mark?" Donghyuck said softly, "What are you doing up?"

The voice startled the older, making him turn quickly and drop the gun in the floor behind him. He rushed to pick it up and hide it, but the younger had already seen it.

"What are you doing?" Donghyuck asked again.

"Mark, answer me! What are you—"

"I know what you've been doing, Donghyuck." Mark interrupted.

"What do you mean?"

"What do I mean? Are you serious? You've been cheating on me for two years, and you wanna ask what I mean?" Mark raised his voice.

The younger was suddenly at a loss for words. He knew Mark would find out before he ended things. He started to move closer to the older in an attempt to apologize. "Mark, I—"

"Don't come any closer!" Mark yelled, pointing the gun to his head. Donghyuck began to panic, not knowing what he was supposed to do. If he got closer, Mark would die, but if he left him alone, he would also die.

"I just wanna know why," A couple of tears began to fall down Mark's face, "Why would you lie to me?" Donghyuck still had no idea what to say or do. It was like his body was completely frozen.
