A month later their freshmen year started it was the first game day of the season even though their were all freshmen they had to be uniform. Maci had her cheer uniform on and he walked over to her after the game was over.
"Hey Maci." he said
"Oh hi Buck." she said as she felt her palms get sweaty.
"Um do you need help packing your stuff to your dad's car." he said
"I um I yeah you can help." she said as she looked down as she felt her face get red.
He picked her bag that was by her feet with her name on it and he said "You ready to walk."
"Yeah." she said with a smile.
"You okay?" he said
"Yeah I'm just tired." she said
"Well everyone is coming to my house to swim do you think that your dad will let you." he said
"Yeah." she said
He put her bag in her dad's truck then he said "Just walk down when you are ready."
"I know." she said with a smile.
She got into her dad's truck and went home. She got home and took a shower then she braided her already wet hair and washed her face then found her bathing suit. She slipped on her shorts and a zip up hoodie and her flip flops.
"Be safe honey." Ben her dad said
"I will daddy." as she grabbed a beach towel in the laundry room.
She walked down to Bucky's house then went through the gate and saw them all in the pool. Bucky watched as she slipped off her shorts then her hoodie then he saw her bikini and felt butterflies in his stomach.

Nat had seen him and leaned over in Steve's ear and said "Why is he like this with her?'
"He likes her." Steve said in a whisper.
"Oh." Nat whispered then Maci got into the pool.
She went under and got her hair wet and came back up. Then she swam over to where the girls were and they started to talk about cheering in their first high school game. The boys were talking about the game and Bucky just kept his eye on Maci as she talked about something.
"Buck you alright." Sam said
"Yeah sorry I spaced out what were talking about." he said
"Bucky your face is red." Clint said
He closed his eyes and said "I'm uh I need to go to the bathroom." he said as he went under to swim to the stairs not realizing that Maci went under to swim in the same direction. They both bumped heads and he opened his eyes to see who he hit and saw Maci and came up and he said "Oh I am so sorry I didn't mean to bump into you. I didn't see you."
"It's fine Buck I had my eyes closed too." she said
"Buck I thought you had to pee." Sam said
"Oh right yeah I have to go" he said as he got out of the pool.
"Well guys I have to go I have a curfew and that's in 30 minutes." she said
Bucky said "I'll walk you around"
She got the towel wrapped around her and grabbed her clothes and phone and slipped her shoes back on. They walked around to the front of his house and he said "I hate that you have to leave so soon."
'I know but I have a curfew." she said
"I really am sorry that I bumped into you." he said
"It's fine my head is okay." she said
He laughed and said 'Okay.Well um good night Maci."
"Good night Bucky" she said as he watched her walk up to her house that was two houses up to make sure she got home safe.
He waved to her and then went back to his friends. "You didn't really have to pee." Sam said
"Shut up." he said as he went inside to change into shorts and a t shirt and came back outside and hung out with his friends till they went home.
