Chapter 23: the pool of blood and Issie

Chapter 23:

Reiko's pov:

I pulled out my gun. And aimed it Yūrei. Don't do this to me please. Yūrei ran at me her eyes a glowing white colour. Her scythe was glowing purple and ghostly mist was brewing from no where. I shot the gun right at her before ducking down as she flew straight over me. The bullet had entered her shoulder causing Yūrei to scream out in pain making my blood curl. Stumbling back to my feet I ran to the rubble

"Issie....Issie where the hell are you" I yelled dropping to rummage through a pile. Then In the corner of my eyes I saw blood. It was only a few drops but as I crawled closer it became a pool. No Issie please no! A tear dropped from my eyes as I turned back to see if Yūrei was ok. She wasn't there. I turned back and there where two feet stood in front of me. I looked up to see a ripped face and blood dripping from it's head. It was Issie.

"Issie your ok. Oh god please don't do that again. I don't want to lose you." I sighed standing to my feet. No remorse was shown on his face as he grabbed my neck and threw me back. As I hit the floor I caught sight of Yūrei in the back ground. She was sat slumped against a tree. No she possessed him. If I did anything to hurt Yūrei's body then I would hurt Issie. And if I hurt Issie then I would hurt Yūrei. Shit. I grabbed his legs and pulled him down before charging towards Yūrei. Please I can't lose either. They mean to much. I was about to dive onto her when a pair of strong arms pulled me in by my neck and started choking me. I struggled about but nothing. But maybe just maybe this might work.

"Issie please I know you can hear me in there. Look just please listen. This isn't you, the real you is kind, like my brother that i never had and is always looking out for people. You love a lot of stuff I do. Dot you remember training today? You one twice and I won once. I ripped you suit by mistake so ran. Please Issie stop. STOP IT!!!" I screamed as I dropped from his grip

"N-no. Stop. It's not true. Rei?" He stuttered collapsing to the floor. Yūrei's body suddenly became alive again and she stood up

"How did you brake it!?!" She screamed walking towards me

"Simple. I didn't give up. I believed. I did that because I care for both of you so much. I don't want to lose either. Please stop. I'm not going to fight you anymore" I replied turning to Issie body. He was breathing but his head still hurt. I ripped off a bit of my skirt and placed it on the gash to cover the open wound.

"REIKO!!" She screamed charging once more. I stood up and let her punch and kick at me. I winced once or twice but took it. I couldn't hurt her. No I couldn't lose her or fight her. She threw one last punch as white mist appeared around her body. This was much more powerful and sent my flying. I landed on the other side of Issie

"I-I'm sorry" I stuttered to him before my eyes started to close.

"Don't be" Issie mumbled just above a whisper. I was ready for a powerful impact but nothing. All I heard was the sound of a scythe impacting against a shield.

"I won't let you hurt anyone or my little sis!" Issie yelled pushing back. I opened my eyes a little to see Yūrei on the ground. My eyes closed shut ince more, while this was happening two arms wrapped around me pulling me into a hug.

"Rei. Come on please don't die. I can save you and Yūrei no deaths. Please" he whispered
