Chapter 36:
Reiko's pov:
I watched from the sofa as Haru walked around the hut clearing up cigaret buts from the ash trays and needles.
"Reiko.... Have you ever taken drugs before?" Haru asked sitting next to me. I sat up more straight and faced him.
"No and I don't want to either" I replied wiping some ash from his face.
"G-good. Reiko why did you get stitches in your arms?" He asked taking my left arm in his hands. Examining the marks.
"Well from fights" I smiled. But it disappeared when a large needle came into sight and edged closer to my skin.
"Haru no!" I screamed as I pulled my arm away. Kicking my legs about I fell forwards into the needle neck first. It pierced into my skin and I felt liquid escaping the tip. I screamed out and pulled away; pulling the needle from out of my neck. I fell back off the sofa a crawled away.
"W-why Haru.!?!" I cried holding my neck as a patch of blood trickled
"Your my best friend. You need to know the pain I have gone through. You will know what it's like Rei to take it and lose everything. I'm scared and I need help but I need it from someone who knows what it's like!" Haru yelled walking to me. He knelt in front of me cupping my cheeks
"I-it's hurting me. Please Haru make it stop!" I screamed as tears fell. My vision blurred and I quickly raised my fist and punched Haru in the junk before blacking out completely.
I awoke to find myself on a bed. It smelt of beer and pot. Looking around i caught a glance of a slim figure walking towards me.
"I-I'm sorry Reiko. Please forgive me for what I did" the figure explained sitting next to me. Looking down I found my arm with multiple pin pricks all around; the needles when left on the bed side table.
"H-Haru please. It's burning me. Everything is a blur. Please just stop all this now and let me be free. I can help you but please stop doing this" I mumbled trying to sit
"N-no please this is for your benefit. I am helping you" what I guessed was Haru replied. Picking up another needle. I quickly pulled away and rolled off the bed wincing in pain as I did so. I looked up to see Haru walking towards me. My daze taking over me quickly. I moved my leg up and pushed Haru back onto the floor before I climbed onto the bed and jumped onto the other side. Running to the door I tried the open it but it was no good. Two arms wrapped around my body and I was dragged back. Kicking and screaming a hand was placed over my mouth as I was thrown back onto the bed and gagged
"It will all be over soon Reiko. Please. You are nearly finished on knowing how I felt"Haru smiled pulling out some more needles.
Please someone help me. Haru's scaring me. He's not the boy I used to know!
