CH 6 Sin Of Gluttony

( Third p.o.v )

The little group jogged the last three hours to get to the desert. They stopped a good fifty feet from entering to catch their breath. Annabeth had kindly let them rest instead of making them carry on. They now need a plan so as the sins let Annabeth make a plan. Wrath, on the other hand, had to work waking up Sloths inner mind telling him the plan. Wrath knew Gluttony would agree to do as planned making it look as real as possible to convince the dumb blonde. Gluttony would mostly like go back to sleep telling Wrath and his lover he'll see them soon.

( Percy / Wrath's p.o.v )

Annabeth was making a plan on what to do. She said stealth would be our friend here. She said that she knew we couldn't help but to do what we can. We just nodded at her keeping up our act. Leo just rolled with what she said because he ain't too bright that way if you know what mean. Annabeth let us rest if you get my drift after she finished talking. So while the couple went to have a talk of their own while resting I got started on the second part of our plan.

I sat with Greed as he kept watch for me while I used my mind to search for Gluttony. He was a good five miles in the desert, his favorite spot to be exact. He was sleeping in his makeshift bed while I invited myself into his head. Boy, he was in deep sleep you could tell by how dark it was in here. Finally, upon searching his head, I found him peacefully sleeping. I shook him gently making the sleeping guy start to slowly wake up.

Gluttony yawned while stretching slowly sitting up. Once he did it started lighting up where we were in his Head. "Wrath what's going on?" he asked. I simply told him everything saying I had to be quick. He nodded agreeing to the plan saying, " This gonna be fun. Before you leave though there is a slight problem." I frowned at him, "What could possibly be happing that's bad?" "Someone has been taking strong monsters from here. I don't know who it is though." I nodded at him, " Alright maybe we can find out who. I got to go now see you soon." He smiled going back to sleep mumbling something.

"Alright let's go, guys, I don't want to be here long, " said Annabeth. I got up with Greed to lead the group again into the desert. "Wrath use your sin thing and find Gluttony please?" asked Annabeth. I just nodded leading them to Gluttony while telling Luke what was up over mind link.

Wrath: Loverboy is helping but he says some fishy stuff is going on.

Greed: What's going on around here?

Wrath: Someone is taking some very powerful monsters, but he doesn't know who?

Greed: Perfect maybe we can gain a clue to who we are going to fight. By the way, Scout is still following just in case.

Wrath: Ok that's good now let's finish this little prank. Can't wait to see the girls faces when they think they have brainwashed us.

Our conversation ended with Greed laughing through our mind link.

As we entered the desert I could the sluggishness kicking in. Dam maybe I should come by for a day to sleep I thought to myself. I turned to see Leo was the most affected by the desert. "Wow, this is crazy, " Leo said. "Hey, do you mind shutting up and not waking the monsters, " I said back. He looked offended by my words than to his girlfriend. "Wrath apologize please and Leo be more careful." He stuck his tongue at me and said ok to Annabeth. "I'm sorry Leo, "I managed not to sneer.

We managed a mile till Leo's ADHD kicked back in. "Wrath what is that?" I looked in the direction Leo was pointing to. "Oh, that's a Hellhound with what looks to be fire tics. Fire tics are something that you can pick up down here since its so hot. They don't leave Tartarus because it's too cold up above." He was about to go touch them when Greed stopped him, " I wouldn't the tics might wake up and jump onto you. Their bites are like being on fire all the time something you're usually immune to. I wouldn't push it." Leo's eyes went wide as he took his back away. "Let's continue please just four more miles, " I said.

The fours miles were gods dam horrible walking with Leo because he wouldn't shut up. Seeing Gluttony just a few feet ahead acutely made me cry in relief in my head anyway. No way I would cry in front of those two. Greed had the same look on his face as me when we saw him. Annabeth saw him making us stop she looked at me then Greed. "Wake him up, Luke. Tell him its time to go that I don't like to be kept waiting since I'm in charge, " she smiled. Luke nodded at her going to wake lover boy up. Luke shook the boy and at first, nothing happened till Sloths red-eye shot open. "Luke what's going on. Why is she here? " he looked at all of us.

Annabeth moved towards us but Greed held out his hand stopping her. "Babe don't worry we are on a quest. More like a job now since Wrath took it." Gluttony didn't like the sound of it judging by his face. "But still why is she in charge and not Wrath?" he questioned. "Because I said so now follow the order and listen to her." He made a face at me, " Whatever you say, captain." He got up with Greeds help holding hands as we turned back. "Well this was to easy, " said Leo. We all turned to look at him like he's stupid. "What?" he shrugged. "You dumbass why would you jynx this, " I said. He was going to ask something when we heard a loud roar not too far out. "Shit we need to go, " I said taking off with everyone behind me.
