Nidhi's POV
"Now your turn." Darshan pointed me out, after the 10th round of twenty one questions.
We got to know much about each other. From likes to dislikes, to goals and aims. Weird adventures and experiences. Almost everything, apart from the past.
Am I ready to tell that yet?
"Nidhi? You still don't trust me, right?" He says.
I AM NOT READY.
My subconscious yells at me.
"I don't know." I shrugged my shoulders. He looks at me in concern. "The only thing left that you should know about me, it's my past. And I don't think I'm ready to– uh– I forgot the idiom." She slaps her forehead.
"Spill the beans?" He asked.
"Yeah, spill the beans." I agreed and he chuckles.
"Guess it's gonna take a while for you to open up completely then."
I nod my head.
"Do you wanna eat something, you know, we can go out for lunch." He asks me, hopefully.
"Oh yes please. I'm hungry anyways." I haven't had a proper breakfast today. Just one coffee.
I watch him get up from the seat he was seated in. He comes towards me to fetch me out of my seat. He looks me in the eyes, holds my hand and takes me towards his car.
We go to a decent restaurant. Ordered lots and lots of food. He ordered himself some alcohol, which I'm absolutely avoiding. I don't drink. That's the last thing on the planet I'd do.
We eat our food quietly. I could feel him staring at me while I eat.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask, bringing him into reality.
"Because I love watching beautiful things." He replies cheekily, to which I couldn't help but smile.
"What?" He asked.
"Did you swallow 'The Fault In Our Stars' book on your way to my apartment?" I say bursting out.
He chuckles.
We were done with our food, after an hour.
After a long fight over going back home or for a movie, obviously he won. We went out for a movie in the near by theatre.
It was almost evening by the time the movie finished. And I could see all the tiredness on Darshan's face.
He took me back to my apartment. I welcomed him in. I went to the kitchen to fetch water for myself and him.
"Darshan, where are you?" I look around, I couldn't see him.
I move across the living room, search him in the washroom, but he wasn't there. I go upstairs, to my room. The scene made me 'aww'.
He was on my bed. Sleeping.
I went to where he was, and kneeled down in front of him. I placed the glass of water on the side table and covered it with the coaster.
"Darshan?" I say softly.
"Hmm?" He humms in sleep.
"Aren't you hungry? Do I make dinner?"
I was thinking on preparing some dinner for the both of us."I'm tired more." He says in his really sleepy voice. I could barely understand.
"Uh okay." I said.
I kept looking at him. He looked so adorable, sleeping. How can I resist myself falling for a gem like him? I'm falling deep, I know.
I stood up from there to leave. But he held my arm.
"Don't leave," He says. "I want you to believe me, I'm not the same person."
Guess he was sleep talking.
I decided to sit there until he leaves my arm. But I never knew when I dozed off.
