III. GODS ON EARTH
{THIRD LETTER TO CARTER}
i once read
that all gods are BASTARDS
but i didn't really see how they were BASTARDS
until i realized that i am mortal
and i will soon die
screw the gods, carter.
they don't understand what it's like to live, to love, and to perish.
don't you see why some walk like gods on earth?
that's the closest thing to immortality
you can walk this earth with feet of gold, with a heart of steel, and with bullet proof skin
if we act like the gods, carter
maybe we'll forget that we were programmed to die
nothing is forever, carter.
