Chapter Nine

"So who you taking to the dance padfoot. I mean Lupins going with Nutty Nymphadora , Im going with the lovely Lily, Peters still unconscious from the last time we had to pull Elizabeth off him so he can't go. You'll be a loner if you don't ask someone soon mate." said James grinning at his friend...

"Come on Elizabeth" said Lily at the other side of the room. "You have to go! I don't want to be stuck on my own with James!" "Come off it Lily. Id be much happier on security. Besides I haven't even got a date. The dance is three weeks away and it is highly unlikly anyone Will ask me. Well not the person I like anyways"...

"Isn't there anyone you'd like to ask padfoot?" asked Lupin slyly as Sirius blushed "Well..." "Ooh looks like Padfoots got a crush. Do tell mate." asked James nudging him. "I just said well not yes that doesn't mean..." "Oh to you it might mean nothing but sicologicaly to the teens brain that means yes" said Elizabeth coming up from behind Sirius. "So who's the lucky lady Black?" James eyes widened at his friend who started to blush. "What? Have I swallowd a fly or something?" James grinned at Sirius who was now a deep shade of maroon. "Oh I forgot. I've got moaning mrytles corridor tonight. I better go." said Elizabeth rushing off checking for her wand. "Padfoot fancies Lizzy!" sang James much to Lilys dislike. "Go after her and ask her you dosy barn pot." said Lupin. "But she probably only likes me as a friend." "Oh for crying out loud she says your name in her sleep and she just confessed to liking you just then." said Lily hitting James to make him stop singing. "In her sleep?" Sirius widened his eyes. "and she keeps on glaring at girls who crush on you too." exasperated Lupin to his friend who was as observant as Lily. James laughed at Sirius but stopped because of the glare he received from Lily. "Go after her! She was on about not even going just then" said Lily shoving Sirius out the door. He caught a glimpses of her cloak as Elizabeth rushed round the corridor to get to Moaning Myrtle before she pulled a tanterum which involved water again. Sirius walked briskly after her. It was dark so he couldn't see but he vaguely knew where he was going...

As Elizabeth rounded the corner to Myrtles bathroom, she heard a noise from behind her. She frose for a second but carried on. There were puddles on the floor but apart from that things seemed well until...

Sirius heard a scream coming from infront of him. He rushed forwards to see a figure lying on their back in a puddle. His heart beat returned to its regular pattern. Sirius walked forwards to help Elizabeth up when he too slipped in a puddle landing next to her. He heard Elizabeths breathing pick up. "Its only me" said Sirius grinning at her "You idiot! You had me scared then I thought you were Bellatrix..." Elizabeth replied hitting Sirius on the arm and grinning. "Hey Im glad we bumped into each other" started Sirius "Literally" commented Elizabeth

"Yeah. I was going to ask you If you'd go to the dance with me?"...

Elizabeths heart stopped. Did Sirius Black just seriously ask her to the dance. "Sirius this isn't just another one of your attempts to make me tell you my past is it?" she asked him hardly daring to breath. He felt so close now. "No Potter it isn't" he answered simply yet anoyingly.

"Yeah but how do I know that your not lying to me? Wheres your proof?"

"Here" he said before placing his lips on hers. She felt a buzz inside her stomach, the same she had felt when Fred had kissed her. So warm and careful. She found herself kissing him back! He rolled himself on top of her and placed his arms around her. His tounge delighting her senses. He ran his fingers through her hair. Elizabeth felt a strange tingling feeling in her body. A yell from filch brought her back to her senses. She stood up and ran back up to the crowded common room, Sirius not far behind. She burst into the room her eyes brimming with tears. She had almost made it to the top step of the dorms when Sirius arrived in the doorway. "Was it that bad Potter?" he smirked leaning against the door. He had her red lipstick on his lips. "Its not that Black..." she started still looking at the wall. "So you admitt you enjoyed it?"

"No I er... well" The common room gasped at this sudden drama. "Then why did you run off?"

"BECAUSE YOU REMIND ME OF, OF, OF FRED WEASLY!" Elizabeth burst in to tears then ran up to her dorm slamming the door. James and Lupin dragged the no longer smirking Sirius into a corner to interrogate him whilst a crowd of fifth years, Including Lily, ran up to tend to the crying Elizabeth. They opened the door to see Elizabeth lying on the floor quivering, a woman standing over her cackleing . Her wand pointed at her chest. "Finally I get to kill you!" she said "Finally Bellatrix, I never thought you would" answered Elizabeth "Ha! Your all talk. Bye Bye Elizabeth Potter!" the woman screeched as a green light flew out of her wand then she jumped out the window...
