Back Through Time

Chapter Eight

Elizabeth limped back through the castle. Honey Badger could prevent her from instant death but it couldn't rid her of the poison with in her. The snake was dead but it had managed to sink it's teeth into her left shoulder. The venom started to penetrate her body as she reached the hospital wing she said the password and staggered into the room. Luckily there was no one there. She placed some parchment on the table and began to write a note. When she was finished she put it into an envelope. She walked over to the nearest bed but before she could get in she fainted from exhaustion, hitting her head on the bed...

"Oh my!" exclaimed madem pomfery when she entered the ward that next morning. She was followed by Professor Mcgonnagle who had been told that Elizabeth had gone missing last night. "Is she alive Poppy?" whispered Mcgonnagle gravely "Only just. She's had a high intake of Baskilisk venom, she's bearly alive Minevera. Does she have parents?" "No not that I know of." "Well does she have close friends?" "Yes James, Sirius, Remus and Lily" "Well I'll go fetch them"...

A few minutes later The maduraders were huddled round their slowly dieing friend. "Do you know where she was going last time you saw her?" asked Mcgonnagle glaring at the four teens. "Yes professor. She jumped into the chamber of secrets." Mcgonnagle gave a little gasp "But dumbledore had told her to go next year when she was ready. She'd already killed two of him she needed her rest." The maduraders looked at the professor who was now running out of the room. Sirius placed his warm hand in her cold and floppy hand to feel the crinkle of an envelope. "Hey I think she's written us a note."Open it then!" gasped Lily.

Dear Whoever reads this,

I am probably now just inches from death but there may be a way to save me. Under my bed in the Griffindor girls dormetarys is a book with the title keep out (That means you Sirius). I hollowed it out to hide my latest creation. It is a potion of red liquid. I call it save me potion. If I drink it, it Will hopefully bring me back to life. By the way the snake is dead and I have closed of the chamber of secrets.

Lily ran back in with the potion and poured it down her bestfriends neck. About two seconds later Elizabeth breathed in heavily and her hand clenched around Siriuses. The others smiled as Sirius blushed. She was still out cold but she was alive again. Just at that moment all the staff piled in. Professor Dumbledore came and sat down next to Elizabeths bed. He looked at the empty bottle and smiled "Best keep that potion a secret hey?" he winked at them then walked out "Why dont you come back Later. Go on breakfast is in two minutes I'll stay here with her" said Madem pomfery to The other four who nodded slowly. and walked out...

At breakfast the news traveled round that a student had almost died. Along with the truth were the rumors which the maduraders chose not to hear. "Attention everyone I have an announcement to make. As you are all aware at 3 this morning Elizabeth potter was fataly ingered in the hogwarts hospital wing by the venom of a Baskilisk. She is now unconscious in the hospital wing but making a full recovery. May i take your minds back to the death of Myrtle. She was killed by the glare of a Baskilisk. Elizabeth Potter put her life on the line to make sure that would never happen again. She went into the chamber of secrets and killed the snake. The chamber has now been sealed and the heir of slytherin has been confirmed by her memory. I hope that you Will help her and wish her well through recovery"...

When the four of them walked back in they heard voices. "How is it that every time I see you you either try to kill me or you tell me everything?" snapes voice rang out. "Because Severus your just really annoying!" Elizabeth shouted back.

At that Snape stormed out of the hospital brushing past the four onlookers. Elizabeth smiled as they walked in. "Want us to curse him for you?" asked James smiling "No thanks. I feel more pleasure from cursing him myself"...
