The club's events overwhelm me, occupying my mind completely, with a feeling of nausea creeping in as the alcohol lingers in my system. "Stop," I tell the driver, and he gazes at me in the rearview mirror. Seeing me covering my mouth with my hand, he promptly stops the car. I open the door but I'm not quick enough because some vomit stains the door.
The sound of his door opening fills the air, followed by the sound of footfalls, "Are you okay?"
"No" I admit, not meeting his eyes when tears cloud my own.
My gaze remains lowered, but not for too long because I'm forced to look up when he says "Here" handing me a bottle of water which I accept with a curt nod and rinse my mouth.
"Thank you," I say after we shut the doors.
As he's about to drive off, he turns to me, asking "Where am I dropping you off?"
My initial instinct is to contact Blake, but then I recall that Eve has my phone. "I don't know" I finally respond "All I know is that I cannot go back there" I'm quick to wipe the tear that slides down my cheek.
"Let's go and grab something to eat, we can figure out where I should drop you off after that. Is that okay?" all I do is nod.
It doesn't take much time for my thoughts to circle back to the club events. I regret letting Luna provoke such a negative reaction from me. I should not have let things escalate to a physical level. That behavior does not align with who I am or who I want to be.
"We are here" the driver's voice pulls me out of my reverie, and I look out the window, reading the name of the restaurant 'Midnight Munchies Pizzeria'
After getting out of the car, I quickly glance at my outfit to make sure it is clean - or should I say, free of any traces of vomit. He notices and says, "It's not stained." I respond with a small smile before we head into the restaurant together.
He pushes open the door to Midnight Munchies Pizzeria, the bell above it chiming softly as we step inside. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting feel. Warm, dim lights hang from the ceiling, casting a soft glow over the rustic wooden tables and chairs. The walls are decorated with framed pictures of smiling customers and pizza-themed artwork, adding to the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The aroma of freshly baked pizza wafts through the air, making my stomach rumble.
