As the first light of dawn crept through the curtains, Blake's concern over the previous night's events became palpable. We found ourselves sitting together, the quiet between us heavy with the weight of our shared vulnerability. He wanted to talk about the intimacy we had shared without protection, and despite the rawness of the moment, our conversation flowed with the same honesty as when spoke about our first time.
I also shared with him that I've been on the pill for a while now, a revelation that initially took him aback. I could see the storm of thoughts racing through his mind. To ease his worries, I quickly explained that my use of the pill was solely because I struggled with debilitating period pains and their discomfort. Blake, ever the considerate partner, reassured me that just because I was on the pill didn't mean we would abandon protection. His caring nature, his ability to prioritize my comfort above all else, shone through with an intensity that brought tears to my eyes.
Words fail to capture the depth of my gratitude for Blake's unwavering support and understanding. His gentle assurance and attentiveness are reminders of how deeply he cares, and for that, my heart is overwhelmed with thankfulness.
Now standing before the penthouse door, Blake beside me, I draw a shaky breath. He squeezes my hand, his worry clear. "We don't have to be here, Precious. We can leave," he murmurs, his voice a soft anchor.
I look up at him, offering a reassuring smile that belies the turmoil inside. "I'm okay, love." With that, I open the door, and we step inside. The room's atmosphere is charged, and before I can take more than a few steps, Eve rushes to my side, her eyes wide with worry. "I was worried sick about you. Are you okay?" she asks, wrapping me in a tight embrace before pulling back to search my face.
"I'm oka..." I start, but my words die on my lips as I see Luna, nestled in Paul's arms. A surge of anger and disbelief courses through me. "What is she doing here?" I murmur, my voice laced with irritation.
It doesn't take long for Paul to lock eyes with me. He walks towards us, hand in hand with Luna, a smile painting his lips "Hey, Cas..." he begins, but I cut him off, my patience fraying.
"What is she still doing here?" I snap, unable to mask my frustration.
"Don't tell me you believe Blak..." Paul starts again, but I interrupt, my voice rising with a mix of annoyance and anger.
