"Is that a yes?" Meredith asked. Brian chucked.

"How could I say no?" Brian said, "We don't have anything for a long time."

"Yes to what?" Jeff asked impatiently.

"We can party tonight," Brian said. Meredith smiled. Jeff pumped his fist.

"Heck yeah!" He exclaimed.

We all headed to Starkid Manor. The goal of most people was to get drunk, party hard, and make out. My goals were different. Have a good time, don't think about leaving soon, and stay sober. It was a short ride before we arrived.

"Okay, so is there somewhere I can stay with Sophia? I don't need everyone cursing and being drunk in front of my daughter," Julia said.

"Yeah. I'm heading home since I have work tomorrow," Jade said, "We have a crib from when my nieces come."

"Thank you," Julia said, grabbing a diaper bag.

"I'll go. I'm exhausted," Darren said. He followed Julia out the door. Jade closed the door behind her and Eric locked it.

Before I knew it the party was in full swing. There was a karaoke machine in the corner that everyone was lining up for. I was extremely entertained. Jeff and Rachael sang tons of duets together and kissed after each one. They were both incredibly drunk and tired which didn't help. Thanks to being very sober, I had lots of potential blackmail. Robert sat down next to me.

"You should do it," I told him.

"What?"

"You know," I nudged him, "Duet."

"She's sober," Robert said.

"You can both remember it better that way," I said.

"What if she says no?"

"I don't think that'll happen. By the amount that you two lovebirds have been texting, I think she'll say yes," I said, pushing him, "Go."

I watched as Robert went up to her. She nodded and they walked to the machine. "I can show you the world, shining shimmering, splendid. Tell me princess, now when did you last let your heart decide? I can open your eyes, take you wonder by wonder. Over sideways and under on a magic carpet ride," Robert said.

"A whole new world," Alex and Robert harmonized. They finished the song and kissed quickly and hesitantly before disappearing.

"How long have they been dating?" Clark asked me.

"Since we first kissed," I responded.

"I'll never forget that day," he said, kissing me rather hesitantly.

"More," I mumbled, our foreheads touching and my eyes closed.

"Are you sure?" He muttered, gently cupping my face, sending shivers all throughout my body.

"Let me have this," I whispered. Our noses touched as we kissed hesitantly before we found where we fit perfectly. I didn't care about keeping this secret. I'm in my twenties. I can't be held. I can't let other people rule my life.

"Holy moly!" Jeff exclaimed. I pulled away from Clark as if Darren had caught us.

"The heck?" Clark asked him.

"You're not supposed to be doing that," Jeff slurred.

"You're drunk, Jeff. Go lay down," I told him. He just stood there. "Come on," I sighed, seizing his arm and taking him to an empty room. "Is there anything I can get you?"

"Lay with me for a bit," he mumbled, his eyes half-open.

"Are you sure you don't mean Rach? I'm going to get her. She's just as drunk as you are," I said, getting off the side.

"No option," he whined, gripping my arm and trying to drag me down.

"My turn. What the heck?" I asked him.

"If you're here, you can't go back to LA," he whispered.

"That's really nice of you, but I made myself not think about that tonight. I won't be gone for a while. I'll be right back," I whispered, lightly kissing his cheek and returning to where the party was still going crazy. I fought my way through the crowd until I found some empty space to locate Rachael. She was sitting down on the couch, seeming calmer. I walked up to her and noticed that she was drunk, but trying to play it off. "Hey, Rach," I said.

"Darren never told me he had a baby sister," Rachael slurred.

"I'm only two years younger than him. But that's not my point. My point is that Jeff wants you with him," I said.

"Oh, I know Jeff," Rachael said, her words almost linking together.

"Come on, let's get him some water," I said, gripping her arm. We went to the kitchen where I got two bottles of water. After that, we went into the room that I had forced Jeff into earlier. He was fighting to stay awake.

"You're back! And with hot Rachael!" He exclaimed like a little boy.

"Yes, I'm back. Drink some water," I said, unscrewing the cap and giving the water to him. Before Rachael could get away, I called her back. "Come on, Rach. Lay down."

"No." She said defiantly.

"Come on," I coaxed her before I had to use force to get her. I handed her the water bottle. "Get some water in your system. There's a bathroom through that doorway. I don't want to see either of you outside this room or the bathroom."

"Hi, Jeff. You're looking so hot," Rachael said.

"I'm going to leave," I said.

"Come back! This is a trick! You get me drunk so you can sneak off to LA!" Jeff exclaimed.

"No. I'll be back in the morning. I promise," I told him.

"Pinky promise?" Jeff asked. I nodded.

"I pinky promise. Now, go to sleep," I said, closing the door behind me. I counted to ten and entered back into the madness. Clark found me.

"Where were you?"

"I got Jeff to a room and then got Rachael with him. And you have no idea how accusing Jeff is," I said.

"What happened?" Clark asked me.

"He thought I was getting him drunk so I could 'sneak off to LA,'" I said.

"That's Jeff," Clark said.

"Yeah," I agreed, resting my head on his shoulder.

Disclaimer: I only own Luna and the plot line.

My updates are getting slower because I want to make this book last for longer. Well, I'm probably going to start publishing another version of I Promise that differs slightly and is more triggering along with more explicit. Hopefully, the first chapter or three will be up sometime this week. I just have to remember. Did you expect Alex and Robert to be together? For some reason, I ship it super hard and that's the tea. That's all I have to say for now, so stay safe and have a great time 'till I see you next!
