imagine mark telling you that he's in love with you
you had slept with mark two weeks ago. you were going through some stuff and he was there. a one night stand, that's all it was. all it was supposed to be.
you started to have feelings for mark, and no matter how hard you tried to push them away, they kept coming back. every time he looked at you, butterflies fluttered in your stomach. you smiled whenever you heard his name. you couldn't help it. you didn't want to fall for him-he's want a relationship type of person.
you knew you had to get over him, and you knew that alex karev had a huge crush on you, so you got closer to alex, to try take your mind off mark.
one day, you were standing in the lobby, talking and flirting with alex. you didn't realise mark standing there, watching with a frown on his face. little did you know, mark liked you back, and seeing you with alex made him pissed.
alex's pager went off and he kissed you on the cheek before heading off. you started to walk in the direction of mark, when he grabbed you and pulled you into an on call room.
"mark, what are you doing?"
"what the hell was that?"
"the hell was what, what are you talking about?"
"you and karev? what are you two dating now?"
"so what if we were."
"well, are you?"
"no! why do you care any way? we had a one night stand that was it. god, what's wrong with you?"
"for god sakes, y/n, you're what's wrong with me! i'm in love with you! from the moment i laid eyes on you, i wanted you! and i didn't just want you sexually. i wanted to wake up next to you, every morning. i wanted to take you to nice dinners and i wanted to be with you, god i just wanted you! i thought i had feelings for you but i wasn't sure, and that night confirmed it. i'm so unbelievably in love with you, y/n, and seeing you with karev... i hated it. i can't stand the thought of you with someone else, and i-"
you crashed your lips to his, cutting him off. he immediately melted into the kiss, his hands resting on your hips, your hands on his face. the two of you smiled into the kiss, neither wanting it to stop. you pulled away, and looked up at him, as he smiled down at you.
"i'm in love with you too, mark. i have been for a while. i was only flirting with alex because i didn't think you'd love me back, so i tried to ignore those feelings. but i couldn't. they were just.. too strong. i am stupidly head over heals for you, mark sloan."
"and i'm head over heals for you, y/n y/l/n."
safe to say you'd never felt happier.
authors note: okay i actually love this so please don't let it flop. also if anyone knows of any good mark sloan fics please let me know. i've just started season 9 and i'm grieving. 😂
