Adrien POV:
One day. One day is all it takes to change your life. That day for me was when I was a little kid, about 4 or 5 years old. I had gone with my mother to pick up some pastries for a celebration my parents were hosting. We had walked into the bakery and we were greeted by a nice lady at the counter.
"Welcome to the Dupain-Cheng's bakery! How may I help yo- Emilie!! You must be here for the cupcakes!" The woman exclaimed. However she wasn't who I was paying attention to. I was paying attention to the little girl my age sitting on the counter playing with a stuffed ladybug. She had raven black hair and ocean blue eyes. I wasn't planning on saying anything until she turned around and looked at me.
"Hi! My name's Marinette! What's yours?" She greeted cheerfully.
"My name is Adrien. I like your stuffed toy." I said, causing her to smile.
"Thanks! Do you wanna play with me?" She asked. I walked over to my mom to ask her.
"Mama?" I said, tugging at her hand. She looked down at me.
"Yes kitten?" She replied, using the nickname she gave me.
"Can I play with Marinette?" I asked, pointing at Marinette. Her eyes followed my finger. She smiled warmly.
"Of course kitten. But why don't you ask Marinette's mom if it's okay if you stay and play?" She suggested. Pointing to the woman who greeted us. I nodded and went over to the woman. When I got there I tugged on her dress. She looked down at me, surprised.
"Hello little one! How may I help you?" She asked, crouching to the ground.
"Can I stay and play with Marinette? My mommy said I should ask you." I asked. She nodded and I ran off to play with Marinette. Little did I know that Marinette would change my life forever.
