Adrien POV
This is by far the worst day of my life. My mother and father got divorced and now I have to leave my princess. I have to move to the U.S. with my mother and I really don't want to. Don't get me wrong, I care about my parents, but not as much as I care about Marinette. She's everything to me and I never want to leave her. Marinette and I were saying our goodbyes while my mother was loading up the car.
"Will I ever see you again?" Marinette asked with tears in her eyes. I wiped them away and hugged her.
"Of course you will princess. I'll email you every night. I'll be back, cat's honor!" I said playfully, trying to lighten the mood. Marinette and I have always had nicknames for each other. Mine was Kitty or Chaton because of the black cat hoodie I always wore when we were kids. She had a lot more nicknames though, most of them came from the ladybug plush she always had with her. Princess, however, came from the fact that she always used to watch Disney princess movies. Marinette smiled sadly, though a little happier than before.
"I'll be looking forward to it. Take care Chaton, I'll miss you." She said sniffling.
"I'll miss you too bugaboo." I said, hugging her and taking in the scent of her hair. I got into the car and watched her wave goodbye as the car started moving. I committed everything about her to memory. Her magnificent bluebell eyes, her soft raven black hair, everything. I finally stopped holding back the tears as I watched her disappear from my view. I really hoped I would see her soon.
Marinette POV
I couldn't stand watching him leave. Not without crying. I would never see those forest green eyes. I would never hear him laugh. I would never see him again. Ever. And that's what scared me. I know he's going to find someone else. He's going to find another best friend and they're going to replace me. The only hope I had was his promise. He's always true to his promises.
I'll be waiting for you Chaton. Don't forget your promise. Don't forget me, my Kitty. Don't forget.
