y/n wasn't like anyone ever known, she was more mystery-like, she had an attitude that was a mix of sweet and salty, that's why her parents almost never pushed her buttons. the young girl never liked her parents, they smoked, drank, and overall gave her a pretty damn hard time. ever since y/n found out they were moving to Derry, Maine, her mood has been slightly enlightened by the fact that a new, fresh start would do her good. but is it what she really thought?

"that's the last one! let's get this show on the road!" dan, y/n's brother, called from downstairs, he tapped his foot lightly on the bare wood floor, waiting for y/n to make her lazy ass down here. finally, she arrived at
the top of the stairs, a backpack swung on her shoulder. "ready?" dan asked, opening the door, smiling at his sister. "yep, let's go." y/n smiled, leaping down the steps, marching out the door, with a bright smile carved into her face.

wow, was all I could think of, I sat there in bed, it was currently 10:04 p.m., and I still couldn't sleep. school was starting tomorrow, and hell, I can't even pack a nice ass lunch. I looked down at my scars on my hand, flashbacks poured into my buzzing mind. I closed my eyes, singing a little tune as I slowly drifted into a slumber, only to be awoken by a terrible alarm, and a hand shaking me awake.

I groaned, sitting up, looking at dan, who came to wake me. "morning caramel!" he smirked, heading downstairs to make my breakfast. I rolled my eyes, a smile creeping on my face. I made my way to the closet, checking the little line of clothing, I picked out some jeans, a yellow t-shirt, and some converse which were black. "y/n! cmon breakfast is getting cold!" dan yelled from downstairs. "I know!" I replied, quickly getting my dark green backpack, stuffing a notepad and a binder in it, running downstairs to the kitchen.

"I made you waffles, with peanut butter on top." dan smiled at me, getting a glass of water and setting it on the kitchen counter. "thanks," I mumbled, stuffing the waffles into my mouth, then looking at the clock: 8:46 "shit! I gotta go, see ya dan! love you!" I quickly said, rushing out of the door, hopping on my bike, riding to the school. I set my bike into the rack, I felt eyes burn into my head. I turned, seeing a boy with curly black hair, thick rimmed glasses, and a smirk plastered to his face, staring at me.

I shrugged it off, heading for the entrance to the school, I muttered to myself. "this is going to be a long day.."
