Chapter 4: The Angelic Court

Zacharael The god of light and most pure created beings of pure light and spirit. They were to be entrusted to guide and protect the mortals of the twelve realms. Thus twelve angels were formed  by all the gods to create a council to watch over and protect the realms. This unity brought forth the Angelic court whose duty was to protect, guide, and grant passage to all mortals on Asariya. Its long term mission was to keep the realms in balance and to make sure evil threats to the realms were quickly dealt with. They worked alongside many mortals with kind hearts to keep Asariya on the path of good and not evil. The angels were always the first line of defense if the realms were breached, but as of the present day they have become more involved in mortal affairs and have done there best to establish a presence in the realms. There most notable location is in the main capital city of Light Star.   

The first of the twelve was the archangel Anderael the angel of justice and truth. The leader of the angelic court he would see to it that all justice and fairness was given to the realms and balance was always kept in check. The demons fear him as he has slain many of there kin single handedly destroying massive armies and killing six demon Generals. the demons know very well to fear his power. Although seen as  force to be reckoned with on the field of battle he is a rather gentle angel though not quick to anger and very level head he tries his best to guide mortals to a higher understanding by being a good individual. 

The second on the court is  Alexandria the angel of hope. In dark times she would offer her aid to give back life and virtue to those not so fortunate. She is highly praised among the poor classes of Asariya as she has helped them overcome their problems and has given them back hope when others have failed. She is a gentlewoman listening and caring like a mother to her children. She and her followers give much aid to those in need and are very helpful individuals. Many are tasked with giving peace to lost souls stuck in limbo or to help those who are sick or hungry in times of famine or plague. She and her followers are very skillful artisans and healers giving peace to many who suffer.   

The third on the court was Araongone the angel of War. The most dangerous out of the angels was this battle master, skilled in tactics and the art of war he would grant many victories over the demons and train his followers to be the most battle-hardened in all of the twelve realms. His blade has never tasted defeat and there is no battle he can not win. those who have faced him always find themselves easily outmatched. A very prideful angel and sometimes arrogant he never steps down from a challenge and is easily angered. Though he may seem wrongful in some eyes in his heart he is good as he strives to protect the realms from destruction even if he must give his own life. 

The fourth angel was Apsolion the angel of balance and understanding. Seen as a teacher and mentor to those who wished to understand the truth of the world to find a deeper level of enlightenment through spirituality. To understand the world one must look at all aspects to understand them but not to follow them. One who follows one ideology gives way to arrogance and blindness, for example, one can not properly create a suit of armor if one does not know all its techniques from breaking down the metals to shaping them. This is what his followers are taught and through balance, one can reach true enlightenment and even immortality. 

The Fifth angel on the court was Caldous the angel of inventions and tinkering. Technology and experimenting in reason was his field of expertise he would guide mortals in creating the finest armor, weapons, and craftsmen ships the realms had ever seen. He taught the very first mortals all there was to crafting. Everything from blacksmithing , creating potions, creating runes of power and even spell creation. Such techniques were inscribed and passed along with new inventions being added on. He welcomed all who wished to learn how to craft and his followers are some of the best blacksmiths in Asariya. He is a big patron among the dwarfs and many of the finest crafters in the realms stem from dwarf roots.
