Ch11: The Awakening

You maybe be wondering how was Maltheal defeated after he seemed to be unbeatable? Unending ? a force of pure evil none could hope to stand against? Are answers lies in the heart of ancient magics crafted long before you and I ever enter the cosmos. A power that has no origin and no god has created. But the terrible truth is this power has not only great potential to do good but also to do great evil as with a simple sign of one's hands or slash of a sword, entire worlds can bend the knee to this grandiose power.

The first beings to every wield this power were known as the heroes of the Heavens Ward. six champions in all, three of light and three of dark that during the first era war fought each other but seeing the power that Maltheal wield put their differences aside to help the entire realm. They turned to their gods and demons lord and otherworldly beings but instead where laughed and toyed with as the prime gods and others were too busy squabbling over the death of goddess of peace . The gods played into hands of Rezon and his new found champion. Lost and with no hope left the heroes of the Heavens Ward began to go back to their old ways fighting among each other , but all was not lost. As during one of their meetings when arguments reached in all time high that threaten to disband and destroy what the Heavens Ward stood by until from the forgotten realm came the lesser gods who banded together to bestow their new champions with immense power, this power would seem to back fire but then something changed. Thus the six champions rose to even greater heights and began their new campaign with the lesser gods and their new found allies against the forces of Malthael that soon began to invade all the realms including heaven and hell. Aurora Skyward a knight who by birth was given a celestial bloodline and Awoke to guide all champions of light and the celestial court against the forces of Malthael , bestowed with incredible powers over light and leadership her awakening turn the tides against the forces of evil that plagued the celestial lands. Next came Celeste Queen of the dragons , born as a half breed and mocked for not being fully dragonkin, it would turn out that in their hour of need she would rise and unify all of the dragons to fight for the glory of her people crush Malthael and his forces. Gifted with the ability to breath fire and transform into a massive red dragon she swallowed the Dread in massive red flames. Esbern Herald of the wilds Gathered all the elementals , the faye , the orcs , the wild elves and all other clans to take a stand, that nature could not let Maltheal undo the laws of the universe. Able to shift his appearance at will to many animal forms and have godly strength he crushed Maltheals Generals under the weight of his shire primal force. Lucifer the dark winged one gathered all the fallen celestials , the undead , the drow , and the acnient demons and began to close the portals that aided with Maltheals entry into the realms. With nowhere to run Maltheal saw his forces began to slowly dwindle. The twelve headed hydra Edamon would wield the power of the dark arts like no master ever could and could transform into a massive hydra that could not be killed and attacked from all angles he would turn the remaining forces of hell to his side and with the demon lords and queens backing him along with all other demon forces they would surprise malthael in a double spear headed attack one from hell and the other from heaven, with his forces surrounded and near defeat Maltheal tapped into all his power to hold them back. This was the exact point where Maltheal underestimated his foes tapping into all his power to push back the forces of Heaven and Hell he was cut down by a realm bending and dimensional cutting attack. Haruka lady of mirrors and outcomes devised a distraction while Maltheals was too busy fighting the other heroes she would strike and cut him down from every timeline imaginable with her ability to look into multiple timelines and wield blades that could repair or cut one from a timeline, she slew Malthael with one stroke causing a massive blow to hit the Harbinger of the dread. Although Maltheal feeling terror for the first time watched as all his work was reduced to nothing and his power beginning evaporated into dust. Watching his death approach him he committed one last act of his power and fled back to the dread home-world. With the Harbinger gone the realms quickly crushed the Dread and restored the Realms. Thus the Realms were freed from Malthael for a time until now. The growing unrest and the Inquisition at everyone's heels , a time of great uncertainty , I do not have much time left my friends. Take this journal and keep it close. Read deep into the lore I have recorded. Listen to what this old man has to say. Maltheal was only the first of many to come. Find the those who posses the Awakening led them back to me. A Dark Knight by the name of Urdazan plagues the land but none wish to see it. He wishes to bring back Malthael and his followers. But know this Reader of my lore book, I the sage of Hours will not let that come to pass for you see Urdazien is only a means to an even greater end.

The book ends here with a hastily written scripture of what appears to be an account of some kind.

The mans pleas are reduced to dust by a simple point as a dark voice says from the Dead Realm

"If you can not take the realms that are rightfully mine...... Then I will take them..... Myself."
