Going back to the castle empty handed would be bad, going back after finding out someone that should have been killed a long time ago is even worse. That's what was going through the groups mind as they returned to the castle of their king.

"So...uh...who's gonna tell the king?" Ram asked.

"Not me." Chloe said

"Hell no!" Dustin said

"Count me out." Madeline said.

"No way!" Kurt said

"Well someone has to tell him!" He said as they enter the throne room seeing him sitting in the shadows glaring at them.

"Y-your majesty" they all said bowing to him. He raised an eyebrow.

"I see...you don't have what I asked for. Well?" He hissed. They looked to one another nervously.

"Uh...I think Ram had that information, Ram?" Chloe said.

"Me! No no it was Madeline!"

"What! No way it was Kurt!"

"No it was Dustin!"

"YEAH DUSTIN" they all said pushing him forward to tell the king the bad news. He raised an eyebrow to them.

"Well." He hissed. "Why are you empty handed."

"Well...uh...funny thing...we uh..." he saw his angry glare. He took a deep breath. "We were...defeated..."

"By Who."

"B-by...by Jake your majesty." He said nervously. The king got up slowly, and walked to Dustin. Dustin kept his head down shaking as the king drew near him. He pet his head, before wrapping his tail around his neck lifting him off the ground making them all gasp in fear.

"You're telling me. The person, I sent you to KILL, is somehow still alive and not firewood? And you failed to get me what I wanted." He said darkly. Dustin choked on his breath struggling to get free from his grasp. He was thrown into the others coughing like crazy.

"W-we will go back. W-we will get him!" Dustin said as two pixies flew in.

"Your highness! Jake Dillinger has been spotted heading out of the sugar plum grove." She said.

"And he was with a small group, one isn't a toy!" The other one said, he raised and eyebrow and laughed.

"It seems you five have another chance. Get me what I want." He said. "Get me that boy, and turn the nutcracker into FIREWOOD!" He growled.

"Y-Yes Sir!" They said running out.

"One more thing!" He yelled as they stopped. "If you see the Oracle, get me his staff and make sure he can't get away once you get it." He said. They nodded leaving. He looked to his two dark fairies. "As for you two, any luck finding the Fairy?"

"We spotted her helping them through the sugar plum fairies grove. So...they should be heading to the dividing paths. It gives them the the perfect chance to get them with those waring families. All the confusion will give them that chance." One of them said. He nodded.

"Go, see if you can be sure that with all the chaos they will be caught up in their little war, with any luck, they will be held around for long enough for those fools to get me what I need. I'm so close to finishing my spell, I can't mess it up now." He said to them. They nodded flying away as one of his minions meekly went to him.

"Y-Your highness? W-why do you need these items and that boy? I-Is it really for power?"

"No. It's for something much greater than that."

"W-what's that sir?"

"Using my own power along with all of theirs, I can use it to bring a soul back from the dead, but only into a vessel that will accept it. Someone with a pure heart. Michael's is the purest I have ever found, he is the only one who can take it."

"Who are you trying to bring back sir..."

"...My wife. She was taken from me too soon, with this spell, using Michael, I can bring her back, turn him, into my Veronica." He said to them.

"O-oh...I-I never knew you had wife sir..."

"...No one did. My Veronica was the only thing that made me...happy. That made me a good person and not the king you all know and fear now. She was my everything...one winter though...she got sick...My magic alone couldn't heal her so I begged and pleaded with the others to lend me their powers so she wouldn't die...But they said we can't upset the balance by saving her... She died that winter, and so did my happiness."

"O-oh my goodness..." They said to him. He wiped his face from the small tears running down them.

"So I showed them no mercy when I attacked. They let my Veronica die, so I won't let them live to see the next day. So when I launched my attack, I knew who to go for and how to hurt them. For Prince Jake, he was beloved by all, so he would die alone, turning him into a toy and sending him to be killed was so he would die, and no one in the land would even know. For Christine, she loves her pixies more than anything, turning them into what lights my castle is the perfect way to punish them. Once I find the oracle, the fool likes to be honored as a great person, well, he will be remembered as one once I use his own magic and turn him to STONE!" He yelled. The servant squeaked in fear from how loud he got.

"A-and M-Michael?" They said. JD turned to them smirking.

"He will cease to exist once my Veronica takes his place here in the human world." He said to them. "Now get back to work, I have a ceremony to be ready for, even though I will use Michael, I still want a lovely ceremony, his funeral, my wedding once again to my dear."

"Y-yes sir." They said running away from him and out of the castle. They went to the side sighing before dropping their illusion.

"Turn ME To stone? HA! The fool thinks he can turn ME to stone with magic?! That's priceless!" He laughed. A small clock chimed in his pocket. "Crud! I'm late for them!" He said using his magic and disappearing into a puff of smoke.
