My plan was to hold up my drawing I had done of Stevie and Tom during their cover of Free Falling. When the first few chords rang out across the arena I scrambled to pick up the frame with the drawing in. I had put a little sticky note on the front saying:
"To Stevie,
I hope you like this drawing I have done of you and Tom
Love from Sarah"
I didn't hold it up straight away, I didn't want to seem too desperate to get noticed so I waited for the song to reach the end. Christine noticed me holding it up and pointed it out to Stevie as she doesn't have great eyesight. I could tell I probably had some cheesey grin on my face that I struggled to hide, but I happily handed the drawing up to Stevie who then asked Christine to read the little note. She then beamed and pointed at me then pointed at the drawing, then did a funny gesture as to say "did you draw this?", I then nodded. She hobbled over to Mike and showed him the drawing and then took it to the back of the stage where she must of handed it over to someone. I was so happy she liked it, but then she blew me a kiss! I could have fainted there and then.
The rest of the concert was a bit of a blur. I was so happy and overwhelmed with what happened. The lights dimmed and they all thanked the crowd. Everyone was shouting "more!" Knowing that Fleetwood Mac still had a few songs left for the encore. In the darkness a blonde lady made her way along 2nd row and finally stopped in front of me. She said to me "Hi I'm Mary, Stevie has told me to ask if you would meet her after the show so she can thank you?"
