Once again, she fell on the ground with her knees. She hissed painfully and almost bit her tongue. Takao heard the loud crash from the kitchen and rushed out, gasped.
"Ema! I told you to wait for me!" He scolded the girl. He went to her and checked on her bruised knees. Ema stick out her tongue, smiling.
"I have got used to it already. Don't worry too much." Takao sighed to her and grabbed her arms, brought her to the sofa carefully. He took her shoes and helped her to put on gently. After they were done, Takao knelt down and signaled Ema to get on.
"Hold tight, okay?" He said. Ema nodded and tightened her grip around his neck. Takao adjusted their position and made sure Ema was comfortable and safe before he locked the door and carried her downstairs.
"Looks like soon we can remove the bandage around your eyes, Miss." The doctor smiled to Ema's condition. Ema smiled happily, so as Takao.
"At first we assume you need at least a year before we removed the bandage. But I guess we just have to wait a week more then we can try to remove them. Before that, remember don't let water touch your eyes and eat health." The doctor reminded them again before they left. On their way back home, Ema turned to Takao who was driving.
"What are we going to have for dinner tonight, Takao?" She asked curiously. Takao smiled to her question and titled his head.
"How about Japanese omelet? With tomato sauce on it."
"How about invite Ruby and Lydia to dine with us? I haven't see them for a while." Ema suggested.
It's been nearly 5 months after Ema's operation. After Lydia's insistent persuasion and with Edgar's help, Lydia's father finally agree giving out his wife's eyes for Ema. Ema still remembered Lydia cried so happily when she told her the news and slept on her after she was exhausted from crying.
Everything went according to the plan, countless discussion before operation and papers to sign, different body checking before the operation, etc. When the day of operation was confirmed, Ema felt so nervous liked she never had it before.
Before she entered the surgery room, everyone came and cheered for her. Gina concealed her tears and encouraged Ema, telling her everything will be fine. Ruby and Lydia cried they would pray for her and hoped everything would be fine. Takao promised her he would waited next to her until she awoke after the surgery.
The operation took more than 5 hours to complete. Although the doctor in charged was a very skillful and experienced expert of eyes transplant surgery, still everyone held their breath during their waiting.
When the light outside the room finally turned off, they all sighed in relief.
While Ema was waiting to remove the bandage that covered her eyes being removed, she accepted the physiotherapy and tried to walk again after months of bed life.
Her injured spine affected her ability to walk. At the beginning of the physiotherapy, she fell countless time and more bruises had been made than before. Every time after the training, Takao needed to treat her injury, especially her knees.
At that moment, Ema finally felt she was being loved, needed. She wasn't alone.
After months of training, she could finally walk without people's help. She still wasn't got used with the walking stick completely but still managed to stumbled. Ema believed after she regained her sight, the situation will improve.
"So? Why are you here?" Ema frowned to the blonde noble sitting on her sofa, drinking the tea made by Raven who was working with Takao in the kitchen. The latter smiled and titled his head.
