Ema stood in front of her full body mirror, staring her reflection. She couldn't believe she had worked in Edgar's company for half year already. Times flew too fast and quiet that she didn't realize. She made the collar of her shirt, thinking what Edgar said last night.
Flashback:
Ema was working on a small project given by Raymond about the art history when she received a phone call from Edgar.
"What's wrong?" She put her phone on her shoulder and placed her ear to it, hands still typing on the computer.
"Can't I call you for listening to your wonderful voice Emilia?" Edgar's playful tone as usual rang from the phone. Ema rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"I'm going to cut off now." She somehow got used to Edgar's attitude and found the best way to communicate with him. As she expected, Edgar immediately stopped his flirting and moved to the topic.
"I will introduce you to the company officially tomorrow." Ema dropped her phone and hands stopped immediately. She blinked several times before she bent down and picked up her phone from the floor.
"Excuse me?"
"After a series of serious discussion, I decide to hire you and give you a position in the company officially. The decision is based on your performance in these months and I can tell you it is not a joke." Edgar spoke seriously. Ema listened and digesting the news slowly.
"Don't you think that's too fast? I've only worked at here for half year." She asked hesitantly.
"You deserve it, so just accept it and thank me." Edgar smiled at his side. Ema rolled her eyes and sniffed at his words. Edgar told her he would send her a gift and asked her to use it before heading to the company next day.
"Ema! Raven is here." Takao said outside her room. Ema checked her outfit one last time and grabbed her purse, ready for her battlefield.
Raven took her to the conference room of the company and there were a lot of people gathered at there when they arrived. They avoided interaction with anyone and went straight to the preparation room. Edgar was waiting for them at there already.
"You look beautiful Emilia! If I haven't meet Lydia I will definitely fall for you." Edgar smiled brightly to Ema's outfit. She shrugged to his comment and looked at her clothing.
"You pick this?" She raised her brow. Edgar shook his head and pointed at Raven behind her. Ema widened her eyes and looked at Raven surprisingly, the latter nodded and maintained silent.
At the same time, a young man knocked the door and told them it was time to present themselves. Edgar held out his arm and smiled, Ema sighed and wrapped her arm with his, smiling. They walked out and soon all the eyes inside the room focused on them. There were whispers and surprised gasps, most of them were about Ema.
