The last bell finally rang and let me tell you, I've never been more happy. I make my way to my locker which is across the hall and try my best not to get ran over. I pull out my books and stuff them into my backpack and book it.

I grab onto my car door handle and reach into my purse to grab my car keys, I can't find them. I remember climbing out and locking my doors, they have to be here! I look into my car and they aren't in there. I'll just have to walk home today.

I sigh as I walk across the parking lot and see Mia.

"Hey." I sigh, dramatically if I do say so myself. I really want to just curl up into a ball and cry.

"What's on your mind?" She says amused.

"I lost my stupid car keys." I say angrily, about to punch the next person who walks by.

"That bad?" She says clearly not trying to hide her amusement now.

"Yeah, it's stupid! I just got here today who could've taken them?!" I nearly shout that last part out.

"Of course you arrived this morning! All of us did!" Mia exclaims. I honestly think she should've been blonde, not me.

"Ugh, never mind. I'm going to go check my locker."

"The doors are locked."

"It's only been like 5 minutes."

"No it's been an hour." She says looking at me like I'm crazy.

Surely enough I check my phone and it says 4:30. My mom is going to kill me!

"Just ride with me!" She exclaims excitedly," C'mon then maybe you could come and I can paint your nails, and we can watch movies and hang out please!"

"I'll see." I say this as I pull out my phone and flip it open, yes you heard me correctly. I flipped it open, because I like them better than I phones and other phone the other phones suck.

I call 3 times all reaching voicemail and after that 5 minutes of my life wasted I just go over to Mia's car.

I knew my mom wouldn't pick up her phone I was just looking for an excuse to not go, I'm an awesome person aren't I?

"Well, my mom isn't picking up, so I guess I'll come!" I say trying to sound excited.

"Yay! Oh-em-gee!" She sounds like an annoying cheerleader.

She hauls me to her little car and I lock eyes with Connor, or was it Aaron? I see him standing across the parking lot talking to one of the other guys and then Mia notices that I'm looking that way.

"Oh, so that's the guy that has you silenced huh?" She says scaring me," Oh, Deeeeeeeaaaaaannnn!"

I'm glad she didn't notice me staring at whatever-his-name-is. As soon as Mia calls Dean's name he looks away and carries on the conversation with 2 other guys.

"'Sup?" Dean says as he walks over.

"Not much." Mia says.

"So why'd you call me over here?"

"Oh, have you met my new bestie Maya?"

"I certainly have not."He looks me up and down and I blush at the attention.

He wraps me in a warm hug and whispers in my ear," I saw you're staring contest, wouldn't wanna let that get out."

"Why not?" I whisper in shock that anyone else caught on.

"Well you might just have to find that one out yourself."

We pull away from the hug and he asks for my number and I see Mia giving me a thumbs up from behind him and I take it.
