# Third heart's the charm

To simply say that Momo's life isn't normal is an understatement, I mean sure, she had studied in both Japan and Korea and have been to America before. In the other hand a little bit of light bullying here and there but nothing serious.

If you ignore the fact that she had two organ transplants already, of course.

Everybody already knows that Japan offers one of the best educations around the world but for some reason Momo's parents weren't satisfied with that.

And so they moved to Korea, her father's home land, in a city where you'd learn that even in the light of day you still can't be trusting.

Momo's parents had kept into mind the importance of giving her a sense of responsibility, so they often sent her out shopping or gave her a couple of chores a child would be able to handle.

But there was one step that caused her to stumble and fall into a deep, horrifying ground.

When Momo turned twelve, her mother sent her alone to the market by taxi after she had previously gave the girl an example of course.

It was half full with a seemingly married couple and a middle aged man on the front seat, so she didn't give it a thought.

Momo was uneasy, it was the first time she's ride a taxi without her mother after all but, the latter seemed okay with it so it should be fine.

Her mother expected her daughter to slip up and get nervous, causing her to make mistakes in locations or miscalculate the change so she kept touch with her the whole time via cellphone.

What she didn't expect was for her to suddenly hang up, not returning two whole days later, empty handed, thrown inside a public bathroom with a wound on her chest, clumsy stitched shut.

Not only was it strange for her to return after the duration of two days but...

In most of stories, the person stripped out of their organs would be either killed, raped or straight up thrown away without an organ.

There was even a case of a little boy who was thrown into the country side, insides inhumanly replaced with newspapers as filling, but this was a different case.

Momo was returned to somewhere where people could easily find her, said girl's chest was even stitched up, in which it held inside it an ill heart.

It wasn't Momo who thought about that possiblity, her parents, the police officers they encountered who had seen similar and much worse cases before did, too.

Makes you think, what if they had a daughter or a son or an all around relative who suffered from heart failure? Could someone really, absolutely hate them? well it's not like they were completely forgiven.

After all they had taken an innocent child's mental and physical health for the sake of their own selfish desires.

The pain Momo felt every time she'd get a heart attack was so out of place and unfamiliar for her, she couldn't help but feel like it belonged to someone else, anyone but her.

Momo couldn't help but clutch it every time she'd get a nightmare, when she'd find herself surrounded by blacked out faces lifelessly lying around.

When the woman who was hanging from the ceiling collapsed right on her. Were these the memories of the previous owner, perhaps? Well it's just a theory, although it scientifically didn't make any sense.

Around the second year of middle school. Momo was already back in Japan, although she spent most of her time in the hospital as "her heart" was in a critical condition.
