Coming Back

Lyrics in bold. I'm not sure entirely what genre I had in mind... it started out a blues number, but then I just kinda wrote what came to me. Imma say... think blues, but w/o the electric guitar constantly going in and out, and the drums being a bit more active. Or just let the music make itself as you read it, tell me what you hear in the comments, yeah?

Deliverer
You're my deliverer
At least that's what they say
When they're all dressed up
On a Sunday

Lord I believe it, yeah
You know I believe it
I believe it all week

Thing is,
Some days ain't so sunny
And most nights I don't have peace
But I believe at least
That You're coming back for me

And Lord I know here and now
That You hear me
So I'll say it loud and clear to thee
Please just take this cup
Even with You it's too much

You know
Some days ain't so sunny
Most nights I can't find peace
But I believe at least
That Lord You're coming back for me

If You choose to keep testing me
I'll have to agree
Cause I know Your plan is right
Even when I'm awake all night

Sometimes
Some days ain't so sunny
And nights are filled with rain
But Lord I believe at least
That in You I'll find peace
And You're coming back for me
You're coming back for me.

This song is, in all honesty, partly the product of a guilty conscience. I've written a lot of songs, but none of them have involved God, really, so I decided to use what He gave me for His glory.
The other thing is that Christian music today is just so... controlled. Don't get me wrong, some of the more recent worship song are AMAZING for what they are, but there's really just no art in Christian 'artist's' music anymore, what with autotune and the like. Some of them don't even have bands or instruments playing at all(though they pretend to), all they do is have producers hit buttons and mix a song that sounds like all the hits from five years ago. It makes me mad, because if we're doing this for God's glory, shouldn't we be doing our best?
