Anybody ever read The Outsiders or watched the movie?

And ooooooooooooooooh,boi,is it dramatic
I don't mean that in a bad way
But the beginning of the book is not in the movie,and the end of the book is not in the movie

At the beginning of the book,Ponyboy is walking around.Then the socials come and threaten to cut his throut.then the other greasers come to save pony boy
Well non of that happened I the movie.
At the end of the book,Dallis robs a store. He calls the other greasers and they come to him. But it's too late and the cops shot him up.BUUUT PONY BOY WAKES UP LIKE DAT DIDN'T HAPPEN
In the movie,they actually killed Dallis.
