Hey all, so here is an update to my story. Tell me what you guys think :)
Blue Eyes ----------------->
-----------------------------------------------
Have you ever felt like you were being watched? It is as if your life was under observation, trapped in a glass box being studied by omnipotent beings bigger than you. Every action you make is being noted and inquired like you were some kind of lab rat. That's how I feel right now. Ever since we killed those three rouges two days ago, that's what I've been feeling morning, day, and night. My senses are on full alert and I'm getting to be paranoid. I was sure that they were rogues. They had the qualities of one, red eyes and bloodlust were in them. Everyone has learned that rogues were dangerous and insane. No trace of civility was in them, so it was "OK" for humans to defend themselves against them. The new laws imposed on us by the werewolf pack and vampire was absolute. One of them though was above all else. No human should ever harm a vampire or werewolf, with the exception of rogues wolfs and banished vampires. Breaking any of this law will result in immediate termination. So we were ok...right?
I surveyed my surrounding for the umpteenth time, I honestly lost count. I had to make sure that nothing was watching us out there in the dark and dense forest. I darted my sight from tree to tree. I observed every branch and rock making sure that nothing was there. I couldn't help but feel that something was out there. My sister's light snoring broke the trance I was in and I immediately shifted my focus to her sleeping form. She was sound asleep. I wish I can make it better for her. I hate thinking about the fact that all she's ever known is to survive. She's never had any human experiences, she won't know what it means to be a kid, play, laugh, sing. I fear that if we keep going on like this she won't have anyone to call her own. She won't have anyone to love and who loves her. I can't deny her that. I didn't really care for my well being. Being gay, my chances of finding love were minuscule, especially at this day and age. I guess it's safe to say that I've given up on love a long time ago. My mission in life is now to survive and to keep my sister safe. But I won't impose that on my sister.
After lamenting further about our situation, I made a decision. We need to make a change. My sister needs human interaction. She needs to be able to be a kid. She's only 16! She shouldn't be worried about surviving. She should be worrying about anything and everything else that isn't this. First thing in the morning, I'll tell her that we'll seek residence in one of the remaining human camps. I know she only distrust them because of me, but I can't do it anymore. I'm sure they'll accept us. We can contribute. We can hunt and set up traps. Living out in the open all these years has done some good. It's decided then. In the morning, we're going to live with other humans.

We were about half a day's hike from the nearest human camp. I learned about them from one of the markets we visited in the past. Camps welcomed people with open arms, as long as they contributed. That was an unwritten rule. Some camps will kick you out if you have nothing to offer or are of no use to them anymore.
My sister agreed to us living with other humans with little hesitation. I guess the idea of sleeping in a bed and having friends her own age appealed to her inner teenager side.
"So do you think they'll accept us?" she asked. I pondered her question a bit as we trekked down the slopping hills of the forest. Our boots crushed the dew laden leaves on the forest floor. The sun was slowing climbing up signaling all the forest animals to start the new day.
"I'm sure they will kid. We can offer them our skills and we can contribute to the camp. I'm sure they won't mind taking in someone who's good in hunting, cooking, and trapping. The camp we are going is pretty nice actually. I've heard about them from when we were battering with some sellers at the market a while back. It seems like they've managed to make a small community and it be fine with the pack and covens. I'm sure they'll take two more in without any trouble." She smiled and turned her attention back to the path before us.
The rest of the way was done in silence. I was still on full alert because I couldn't help get the feeling that we were being followed. So I had my small knife in my coat pocket and my bow ready in case I need to take action in a moment's notice. We crossed a small stream, jumping over rocks that made makeshift path for us to take. I was about to leap onto the last stone before I heard a blood curling scream. I immediately looked behind me, making sure that Maddie was all right. She had her knife in her hand ready to fight whatever was coming our way. I breathed out a relief of sigh, glad that she was ok. I readied my bow and observed my surrounding, hearing the flow of the stream underneath our feet and the rustling of the leaves on the trees from the wind blowing in the sky. I scanned the area as far as my eyes could see.
I stopped on the bushes behind us, where we just emerged. I stared into it and I let out a small gasp. Staring back at me was the pair of green eyes I thought that I had imagined back when we were attack by those rogues. There was determination in its eyes. I could sense anger, fear, and...kindness? I cleared my head to make sure nothing could distract me. Slowly it came out of the bushes and my eyes widen. I could hear Maddie let out a small whimper, I'm guessing she's seeing what I'm seeing. Coming out slowly was the biggest wolf that I have ever seen. It's coat was as black as the night and it was about the size of a bear. It had its head hanging low and barring its teeth at us. It was snarling and stalked closer to us. I readied my bow preparing to attack, but I knew it was useless. The only kind of wolfs that get to that size are high ranking wolves. There was no chance I could take it down and run with Maddie.
Oh no...Maddie. She can't die. Not now. Not after all that we've been through and have yet to experience. Sweat was coming down in buckets drenching my shirt even though it was cold out right now. "Maddie, I need you to run, all right. I need you to run as fast as you can. Please, can you do that for me? Please Maddie." I could hear the desperation in my tone and I'm sure Maddie could hear it too.
"No please, I don't want to leave you. Please..." Maddie whimpered behind me. Tears were coming down now as she knew this will probably the last time that we'll be together.
"Maddie, you have to live. You're a strong girl, please Maddie. You have to live...for the both of us." I pleaded with her. She caught me by surprise because instantly she was clinging to my waist, holding me for dear life. I couldn't leave her alone now. She needed me and...I needed her. She's all I had.
I eyed the trees across the river. If we could somehow get on top, I think that we'll have a chance. "Maddie do you see those trees in front? I'm going to distract the wolf and I want you to make a run to climb up ok? I'll distract it as best as I can and I'll be up there with you ok?" I could feel the silent nod she gave signaling me that she was on board with the plan. She let go of my waist and I readied my bow. Just as I was about to aim at the giant wolf in front of me I heard rustling behind us. I didn't move my vision from the wolf though. My sister however tugged on my shirt harder, almost too tight that I lost my balance.
"Matther..." she whispered out to me. I turned around to see what she was seeing and my eyes widen. In front of us us were about a dozen vampires. They had porcelain-like white skin. They were all dressed in black clothing. They all had blood red iris for eyes...all but one. One of them had blue eyes that shined brilliantly. If it wasn't for the fact that they were vampires, his eyes could be considered beautiful. Shit! Blue eyes meant that he was an ancient. One of the original vampires. This is just our luck, we had a high ranking wolf in front of us and now that I'm thinking about it, I'm sure his warriors are hidden in the forest looking at all this, and behind us was a coven led by an ancient. We are going to die today.

Looks like they are in a pickle. I hope they are ok!
