Chapter 7 - Lifeless eyes

I watched as he slowly made his way out of the bush. He had his green, beautiful eyes staring right at mine, diving deep into my inner turmoil. The funny thing is that I want him to know me. But would he ever look at me the same way again if he knew of my past, if he knew what happened to me. I shuddered at the memory and shook my head to clear my mind. Dominik was a couple of feet away from me now and he stopped. He lifted his head and I gasped at just how big he is from looking at him this close. What happened next surprised me. I heard a groan and bones started to crack. His claws were retracting and out came fingers. His joints realigned itself to allow him to walk on two feet and his black coat was starting to disappear leaving behind tan smooth skin. His snout disappeared and out came that beautiful face that I've etched into the back of my head. Before I could process what happened, what was once a wolf now stood Dominik. I stared into his eyes. They were still the pair of green orbs that made me felt so relaxed and warm. I stared at his plump lips that looked so kissable. I stared at his impressive muscular pecs and went further down to his washboard abs. Oh how I wanted to lick them. In a heated state I didn't even realize that he was...naked! I diverted my eyes to the ground and I blushed deep red. I could feel my ears heat up. Here I was acting like a teenage girl.

 "Sorry..." I mumbled low. Dominik shocked me by letting out a huge bellow of a laughter. I crossed my arms across my chest and pouted at him. He finally stopped laughing and raised his hands up in surrender.

"haha oh I'm sorry meine liebe. You were just so adorable right now and I couldn't help but appreciate it. It's been a while since I've laughed like that." I liked that I could make him laugh like that. I don't know what's happening to me but I can't deny that it has something to do with my feelings for him. "I think that we need to talk, don't you agree meine liebe?"

I would deny this if anyone asked, but whenever he called me that my heart flutters. I loved hearing that from him. It sounded so natural. Before I could answer my stare went south again and I blushed like a teenage girl...again.

"I like when you stare at me meine liebe, but I can tell it flusters you. So I will put on some pants if it pleases you." It doesn't. I wish he could be naked all the time, but I can't tell him that. I heard rustling and he finally told me to look up. He was now fully clothed in pants and a shirt, to my dismay. I let out a sigh and as if he could read my mind he said, "don't worry meine liebe. You can stare all you want when we live together." He gave me a devilish smirk and winked. I couldn't help but get heated up again and fluster. I could tell he was teasing me. Well two can play that game mister.

I gave a nonchalant shrug and said, "it's alright. I've seen better." He let out a throaty growl and before I knew it I was on my back on the forest floor and he was on top of me. He put his hand behind my back so that I didn't hurt myself. He was staring deep into my eyes and I swallowed a nervous gulp.

"Oh have you now, well trust me when I'm done with you, you're going to retract that statement of yours." He whispered into my ear and I could feel his warm breath blow against my cool skin, making me shiver all over. He let out a small chuckle and got up, bring me up along with him.

"Why am I your mate?" I let the question out my tongue in a small whisper. I was still in his arms, my head resting on his warm and hard chest. He help on to me even tighter as if scared that he was going to lose me and honestly, I didn't want to lose him either.
