2 days later
Zara's POV

It's been two whole days since my mother died. Two days of cleaning out her room, two days of having the house all to myself, two days not having her.

I've been really depressed and lonely. Today is the day I go to the funeral home to set up her funeral. This is going to be extremely hard for me.

Two hours later

I arrived at the funeral home and went up to the desk. They asked my name and asked who I was scheduling a funeral for and when I wanted to do. I told her the information and she typed quickly on her desk top computer from what looked like centuries ago.

About five minutes of her asking random ass questions, she asked me to go wait in the lobby to see the funeral director. So I walked into the lobby and as soon as I walked in there was only one person. A guy, he looked about my age, he had short hair and was wearing Gucci. He was really fine, but some guy was the least of my worries right now. I walked right passed his and sat in the chair right across from him.

I picked up my phone and started scrolling around on instagram, when suddenly I hear a "Hi". I look up and see the boy starring directly at me. "Hey" I say, looking up and quickly looking down at my phone, trying to avoid a conversation. "Who are you scheduling a funeral for?" He asked with concern. I cleared my throat and took a deep breath. " My mother." I said quietly. I looked up and saw his face turn from neutral to a kind of sad look. "Oh, I'm so sorry." He said "If you don't mind me asking, what happened?" He said, scooting to a seat closer to me. "Cancer."- I began. "She has had cancer for about a year now, and she had some kind of Tumor and it bursted." I said trying to hold back my tears.

"That's terrible! I couldn't imagine!" He said looking down with nothing to say. "That's enough about me, why are you here?" I asked trying to take all the attention off me. "My grandma" he started, "My mom is in there right now talking to the funeral home director." He said, sadly. "Awe, how did she die?" I asked. "Heart Attack." He said looking down at the white, dusty floor. "I'm so sorry!" I said putting my hand on his thigh for comfort.

Idk, he looked sad. I would want someone to comfort me.

"It-It's fine" He said whipping a tear off his face, just before it dripped off. "You guys, must have been close!" I said smiling at his caring gesture to cry. "Yeah, she was my best friend when I didn't have any." He said, looking at me with his now red eyes. "What's your name again?" He asked. I smiled "Zara, Zara Violet." - "and you?" I replied. " My name is Zach Clayton." She smiled. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Zach." I gave him a slight smile.

After an awkward silence for about 1 minute and a half. I got out a piece of paper and a pen form my purse. I wrote my number down, and made sure he couldn't see what I was writing. About a minute later, I got called into the back office where the director was.

Just before getting up from my chair, I took Zach's hand and slipped him the note. "Call me." I said, before walking out.
