Parting Performances

  Jhope and RM were standing in the hallway to greet us when we left our room.
  "Annyeonghaseyo, you must be Erin." Jhope said cheerfully.

  "Heh. . . Hi." Erin said in response. I looked at him.

  "Don't be shy, Erin." I said.
 
  RM smiled. "You really don't have to be shy. I mean to say, a lot of people are when they first meet us. You wouldn't be the first. But you can talk to us like we're your friends. We are her new brothers." He said, indicating me.

  Erin nodded and grinned. "Thanks RM." He said.

  Namjoon smiled and turned as Jungkook came striding out of his own room, a bag in his hand. He opened the door to the room me and Erin had slept in and placed it down just inside the door. When he turned back around, he asked,
  "Where are the others?" But his question was immediately answered when Suga, Jimin, Jin, and Tae strode out of their rooms.

  We walked down the hall and into the elevator, where Jungkook decided he wanted a selfie. He angled the camera and snapped a few pictures. "It's about time the ARMY finds out about you, Jen." He said when he brought his phone back down. I nodded as the lift dinged and the doors opened. We walked out of the lift in a group, Jungkook on his phone the entire time. Finally, he looked up, muttering to himself, "Posted."

  We walked through a few big crowds and out through the exit. "Kookie?" I asked. He replied with a small, "Hm?" "Where are we going? " I questioned. "We're going to a performance, but I wanted to know if you guys wanted to sing." I looked at Erin. He nodded. "Ok. We'll sing." I said. Jimin smiled and Jhope screamed, "YAAYYY!!!" before we got into the car.

  On the way to the performance, Erin and I discussed what song we would sing, and who would sing which parts. In the end, we decided on The Spectre, by Alan Walker. We both listen to the same kind of music, so it was pretty easy. Jin called told their manager something in Korean. I could only understand the words, "Jen", "sing", "The Spectre", and "Alan Walker".When he hung up the call he looked up. "You guys will be singing right after we do our last performance. That means a lot will be different from last time, Jen." He said. I nodded.

  When the car screeched to a stop, I could see all of the fans waiting outside. ChimChim opened the door and got out. Next was Tae, then Suga, Jin, Jungkook, me, Jhope, RM, then, finally, Erin. I walked down the aisle with everyone else, feeling more important than usual. I smiled widely next to Erin. When we got inside, the others steered us backstage, where we were all seated in a row, Jhope on my left, Erin on my right. A stylist came over and spun me around in the chair. She started with hiding my acne. "So, you must be, what was it? Jenny?" She asked. "It's Jen." I said. She apoligized, and I felt the sponge on my face for a few seconds, but it was soon alternated for a brush. When she finished with my face, she moved onto my hair. "So, when did you get adopted?" She asked. "Tuesday." I said simply. She styled my hair into a part and began to curl it. She then put my new curls into a ponytail, leaving my bangs to hang in front of my face. She combed back a few flyaways and said, "Done!" She spun my chair around so that I faced the mirror.

  I couldn't believe my eyes. My acne was gone and my skin was lighter, my deep blue hair pulled into a curly ponytail. I smiled. "Wow..." I muttered. "You look great!" Said Erin, who had been done for quite awhile. "Thanks." I said, blushing. I wondered if the blush would show through my makeup. The question was answered when Jhope asked, "Oooh, is somebody bluushiiing????Hmmmm????" "N-no." I stuttered. Jhope chuckled and stood up as the members were called to perform. Me and Erin watched them dance for five songs, dancing along backstage. I took Jungkook's parts and he took Suga's. After the sixth song, RM made the announcement about us singing. "As many of you may know from social media, we just adopted a sister. Her name is Jennifer, and she has decided to take Jungkook's last name and become a Jeon. She has decided to do a duet with her best friend, Erin Weston, of a song many Alan Walker fans will probably know." He gestured for us to come on stage.
